I tried Kayao Peruvian Nikkei inside Yellow Green Farmers Market and it did not disappoint.
I ordered the desayuno Lurín and it was really good. The bread tasted freshly baked, the tamal was full of flavor, and the pork was nice and crispy. The sweet potatoes were a little too crispy for my taste, but overall it still worked as a really nice combination of flavors and textures.
I also had the chicken sandwich and it was delicious. It had huancaína sauce and was loaded with chicken, which made it super satisfying.
The chef was present and actively directing the kitchen staff, which was nice to see. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming, and the whole spot had a great vibe. The weather was perfect, and there was even a band playing in the middle of the market, which made the experience even better.
Overall, everything tasted fresh and well made. Definitely a spot worth checking out if you're at Yellow Green and want something flavorful and a little different. read more
