I lift weights 3x a week and I was still sore from my fingertips and arms, shoulders, and back. My whole upper body got quite a workout in those 3 hrs. -The water was very choppy from just the fact that it's the sea, but all the boats make it even more so. This was not a kayaking adventure for the weak and I'd never recommend for a non swimmer. The waves could overturn your kayak and although you're wearing a life jacket, if you can't swim, that situation wouldn't be fun. A 3 hr adventure cost €69 per person. You meet near the Amalfi Port. We had a car and chose to drive there and park. Amalfi fills up very fast. We arrived at 8:30am and there were plenty of spaces at BERMA parking, but by 8:45, every space was taken. We arrived early and grabbed croissants and cappuccinos before our 10am time slot. Amalfi is nice to enjoy in the early hrs before the town explodes with people. Nice guides. Good equipment. Stunning views. And the Italian men were nice to look at.

So this tour was very Adventurous and it was so much fun. To get to the tour, You can either take…read morethe steps down from the top of Amalfi or you can take free ferry. I recommend the ferry, unless you want the great exercise from walking the 400 steps down. One of the guy's name was Antonio and he was really nice and really funny. The other guys name was tiny tony. My wife and my daughter were on it and they were in the back of the group so tiny tony pulled them in and according to my wife, "he saved her". Antonio and Tiny Tony explained all about the villages and it was really interested. Also, there was no way I would have made it if he didn't teach us how to do it. Then we started going in the the gulf and he explained to us which side to go on. Also some people were falling behind so Little Tony helped them and Antonio helped us. We had a great time kayaking and then we reached a beach and they let us take a break. During the break they gave us a towel, crackers and bananas. We also got to jump off a 12ft rock. Also they made some funny jokes. It was very hard work so make sure your not tired for the tour! It was so much fun and I totally recommend you doing it. The staff was phenomenal and it was very organized. If your looking for some good views and a great tour this is a good thing to do.

Most tourists make the mistake of going through the hotel, but that is usually three times as expensive as booking directly yourself. I booked a nice little boat for around 150 euros, not including fuel. It was great for exploring the area and we took it past Positano and had lunch at the most special place, Conca Del Sogno. As the winds picked up in the afternoons, the boat was not the most comfortable, but that was due to choppy waters and the boats small size. As long as the waters are smooth, this is a great price and a fantastic way to see the Amalfi Coast. You do not need a boating license, just a bit of experience and good common sense!

Rental from 1-6 was 100 euros and the was we used for 5 hours was 27 euros. And it was the BEST DAY EVER! We stopped and swam off the coast of Li Gilli island, stopped and had our lunch on the boat in front of the beautiful town of Positano, drove and swam, enjoyed the sun and had a blast. Here are a few things you might find helpful: We were in the 8:30 departure. You're first stop is Capri where you'll be dropped off. Our return time to the marina was 1:30. So there's time to go to the top if you're smart and go right away. We went to Capri town and while the gardens were worthwhile, the high end shops were just that. And got crowded as the day progressed. Our friends went to Anacapri and took the chair lift to the top and LOVED it. In retrospect that would have been a better choice for us. Make sure you leave time to get back down because there will be lines, maybe long ones. Our group chose not to do the Blue Grotto. They do that after we return so this is something to discuss beforehand, as the time you WILL wait in line for that (1.5 hours had we done it) will cut into the magic that was ahead. Then we went around the island into the little grottos and they even took fun pictures. Then we swam! It was GORGEOUS!!! It's chilly but DO IT. The water is turquoise and truly magical. Antonio and the Captain were fabulous. They made it SO fun, adding a few surprises that I won't reveal . The time in the boat was the BEST! DO IT!!!!!!

It was a decent walk down a path to get to the inlet and you have to walk down a pretty steep set of stairs to get down to the water but boy is it worth it! I'd recommend water shoes as the rocks are slick. You can swim around or lounge on rocks. There were probably about a dozen people while we were there in April. There's lots of nearby walking paths full of wildflowers and some ruins. I could have packed a lunch and spent all day here and in the surrounding hiking spots. Beautiful views of Mt Vesuvius across the water.

Someone had mentioned they were able to take a private boat, and wow am I happy they did! We were picked up at a cove right near where we were staying in Praiano. The boat was in great condition and held about 15 of us comfortably, with space to sit in the back and the front. Our captain, Tony, was such a delight and spoke wonderful English, so he was able to point out so many sights along the way and really gave us the full experience! We got to see all the gorgeous rocks and cliff sides up close, and Tony even drove the boat into some of the caves so we could take the peek! The ride to Capri was about 45 minutes, but we did take our time and sightsee. Tony picked us up in the same spot 4 hours later for the ride back. This time, he even offered to let us swim by some of the rocks and caves! We stayed near the coast on the ride by and got to see all the cities from the water like Sorrento and Positano. We were able to see private beaches and stunning waterfront villas as well! Absolutely recommend visiting Capi this way, or really any city along the Amalfi Coast! My mom, who was experiencing motion sickness on the windy roads, was surprisingly totally fine traveling by boat!

He picked us up at the dock in Positano shortly before sunset. We had a short sunset cruise before dinner while he told us about some of the local area and we chatted about our lives. We were able to sit on the couch on the front deck of the boat (felt like celebrities!). We pulled up to the dock at Lo Scoglio as the sun went down and enjoyed a leisurely dinner there. Afterwards Roberto returned us to the dock in Positano. I would definitely recommend this experience!
