When I dropped the jewelry off, the young woman assisting me was extremely polite and professional. I was told repairs would take about two weeks. It ended up being closer to three weeks, which honestly was not a problem since I didn't need the items immediately. Unfortunately, the pickup experience was disappointing enough that I won't return. When I arrived, I was greeted briefly by an older employee who retrieved my jewelry. My diamond bracelet was handed to me in a small zip plastic bag, partially hanging out of the closure. While I inspected the repair, the employee continuously twirled my pearl necklace around in her hand, which made me uncomfortable considering the nature and delicacy of jewelry. When I mentioned I would be splitting the payment between two cards, her visible frustration made the interaction even more awkward. After completing payment, she asked where the pearl necklace was because I had placed it in the same small bag as the bracelet -- since no jewelry box or bag had been provided. What stood out most was not a single "thank you for your business," "have a nice day," or "let us know if you need anything else." The entire interaction felt as though I was inconveniencing her simply by being there. I think after spending more than $300 on repairs a minimum of customer service would be natura. The repairs themselves appear fine, but customer service matters enormously in retail -- especially in the jewelry business, where trust, care, and professionalism should be part of the experience. I will never return nor suggest Crider's.
