We visit Cargo Largo almost every time we are in MO. They have a large selection of items from…read moreclothes to electronics to beauty supplies. The items are discounted and most things are really good quality. Last time I was there we got a 25 lb kettlebell for $20, some named brand face cream that was $4, and my husband got some Monster headphones he was really excited about for $40. Unfortunately when we got back to our family's house only one headphone worked. We took it back and I was pleasantly surprised that the return process was seamless. We will continue to go back when we are in town and see what deals we can find.

I really want this to be a higher review but there are a few problems…read more I like Cargo Largo and really enjoy digging around. I think some prices are good but others aren't that great so you have to be ready to spend some time looking. It's just not very organized. Maybe they try but it's not. But when you run across something you really want, that's fun! One huge issue is no dressing rooms. They say you can return but it's about a 40 minute drive for me each way so it would be much better if I could try on before I buy. The last time I was there, I literally got in the corner of the store and tried on everything over my clothes and my partner took a photo so I could get an idea of what it looked like on me even with my clothes underneath. I got paranoid at one point because they have a lot of plain clothed security in there and I was worried they might think I was up to something but I was rather conspicuous so I'd be a really stupid criminal. Lol BUT, I liked everything I tried on so that's a positive for Cargo Largo! I also had an item in my cart with a red sticker on it as a markdown. The item was still about $30 but it rang up for over almost at $50. The guy ringing me up looked it up by the date they received it (May of 2025) and said the price on the ticket was wrong so he called over the manager. At first she told me she wouldn't honor the price on the ticket but then she said she would. I thanked her and I got the idea she really had to go by this date system but that's not cool. If you make an error, you should honor the price. And you've had the item in your store for 5 months so reducing it $15 to sell it isn't crazy. Again, in the end I got it for that price and I appreciate the manager's help, but it was a bit embarrassing having to feel like I'm haggling when the tag clearly stated that price. If it weren't for that incident, the lack of dressing rooms, and the intimidating presence of the security (you can definitely spot them even in plain clothes), I would rate them higher. I'll still go back because I do find cute things there.

Located in a relatively safe section of town, Frugal's Family Thrift store is available to service…read moreall of your second-hand market needs. I found the parking lot to be depressing as if I was in the middle of no-where with civilization being hundreds of miles away. I'm just adding this point as it was the way I felt. That said, the staff friendly and most of the patrons were very nice. Please note Thrift stores are very hit or miss so going from week to week can result in a highly different experience. I'll be the first to admit, all thrift stores have a funky smell to them and I found Frugal's to be especially smelly; nothing to the point of unbearable but it lingers for the duration of the visit. Now in terms of being what do they offer, well pretty much everything and anything. Furniture, clothing, toys, books, CDs/DVDs, cookware, you name it. I found the kitchen section in terms of pots, pans, mixers and things of that nature to be very sparse while their main attraction was clothing. Off in the back right, one can find a small furniture section with some decent to horrible offerings. I liked some of the books they had and was extremely tempted to pick something up since I found many that perked my interest. Their music selection had me laughing as I noticed a couple odd bands from the 80s, 90s and beyond which I don't think anyone would buy. Color Me Bad anyone? I don't recall seeing much for motorized lawn equipment but I was in and out relatively quickly. Overall, thrift stores have a very particular clientele and subculture. I'm pretty sure if you're reading this you know how things go, so I'm not going to try and upsell you, rather give you the thumbs up to come on by and see what they got. It's safe and the people are nice while have a very large floorspace open to many different reasonably priced objects.

Great store with super reasonable prices. Wide selection and the cashier was nice, too! I'll be…read moreback for sure. I do want to note that there was a very strange and unpleasant smell in the building but it didn't deter me from shopping!

Everything was the same , prices, nice employees . Prices that are supposed to be $1 to$2dollars a pound, the main awesome thing that everyone loved and could actually afford was when an item like forsay a blender that weighed 5 lbs or more would be considered a 5 dollar item and it would be 5 dollars, period. Did not matter if the blender weighed 15 lbs, it was a 5 dollar item. Now all the sudden , depending on which worker you get, it can cost 15 dollars, maybe 13 or whatever they say that day. This completely ruins shopping at Goodwill Outlet. I know I'm speaking for numerous people. My days of coming are done. Especially when people have been coming for years because those who have a low income, were able to come and get many things for the whole family. What used to cost a cart say 30 dollars is now 80... Unbelievable. The workers will say different prices to every single customer, they will tell some hey let me know how much you got, and I can do this much, but wait till the one manager isn't up front. This is clearly wrong, dishonest to us and your company, they absolutely do not do rotations every 30-60 min. Your lucky to see 3 throughout the whole day. I really think the corporate headquarters needs to investigate every worker, manager at this location and you will see that your workers are dishonest, untrustworthy, and making people who been coming here for so long, just say I'm not coming back, and in disbelief on how they were charged as there walking out the door. Everything I have just written is the honest truth. Please give your customers some kind of hope in change to this store. Kind Regards 04/28/2028

You end up staying longer than you wanted but that's because the selections are so numerous. This is not old worn out clothing either, nay nay, some the items are new and still have tags on them. Have you lost weight? Gained? You can come away with a new wardrobe for less than $50. Plus they have discounts, sales and more. You'd be surprised how good I look. I know I always am! Captain Tom

Also they routinely price items equal to or higher than the same item, brand new, at the place it was originally purchased (dollar tree, target, Walmart are ones I see regularly.) And I've noticed a steady increase in their everyday pricing too. There are better options to shop at in the kansas city area. This used to be the best in my opinion.Because they were the only place that had a colored tag for ninety eight cents for an entire week! They were the only place I could get that and not be overstimulated by giant crowds. But that's gone now. The corporate office for this , thrift store chain is applying regular retail rules to a thrift store model. They fundamentally misunderstand the thrift store customer. And this method has resulted in failures of and closing of thrift store locations across the country from multiple different thrift store chains. They think selling one t shirt for ten dollars is better than selling ten t shirts for 1$. People who shop at thrift stores have strong ideas on what they will spendon what for second hand items. And when thrift stores start trying to make themselves into boutique shops, using regular retail rules, and increasing pricing on DONATED ITEMS, we stop going.
