The fact that they spoke Cantonese put me more at ease since I knew they would understand some of the dishes that I was trying to order. I do not speak Chinese but someone in our party did. Secondly, the Beef Chow Fun was pretty good and had "Ho Wok Hay" (which translates to "good taste of the wok"). Wok Hay is a slightly burnt flavor from the wok that gives a dish a high degree of flavor. Not too many restaurants have this and this is a mark of a legit Chinese restaurant. I was very pleasantly surprised to find this in Rome. We also ordered the Chicken in Picante sauce which was very tasty, and roast duck and spareribs in black bean sauce both of which were ok. We also had the house soup at the waitress' suggestion (probably because she knew we appreciated authentic Cantonese cuisine) and Chinese greens. The portions were fair and the prices not too cheap or expensive. I was just glad to get good quality Chinese (Cantonese food in Rome). The restaurant is simple and looked reasonably clean, the staff was friendly but a little hurried as they had a fair amount of takeaway orders.
