We went last Saturday to the Kawartha Bakery in Lindsay during a road trip of ours We were told to check it out by friends and family who mentioned about their baked goods and fresh bread Inside you can see the bakery at work The shop offers various baked goods including several fresh breads and buns We can even get a deli sandwich there too We bought some plain butter tarts They were okay...crust was not as good as other tarts I've had elsewhere The apple fritter I found was a bit dry I think it might have been the size of it I found their cinnamon bun was a bit better I would definitely like to come back when we're there in the area again to try some baked breads and buns It's a nice little spot but might need to improve a bit on the baked goods read more

We went a weekend back to Lindsay and stopped at the Kawartha Wholesale Bakery They are located behind the Canadian Tire strip mall on their street that has a lot of retail They offer fresh bread and baked goods, along with deli sandwiches Their bread is made fresh daily along with their baked goods We bought some butter tarts, along with some apple fritters and a cinnamon bun The tarts were good The cinnamon bun and apple fritters are massive The cinnamon bun was really good The apple fritters were a bit dry It might be because of the size Their staff was friendly I would definitely come again in the area to get come fresh bread and baked goods again read more

I have ordered baked goods many times from Kawartha Bakery for business breakfasts that I host. The muffins, scones and bagels are great, and of course always extremely fresh and often still warm. Everything is always nicely presented on a tray. Overall I have been extremely happy with with the bakery, my only complaint would be that the person answering the phone had next to no idea of the flavors of muffins available. read more
