When unpacked, the meat was discovered to be vacuum packed and was grayish and somewhat slimy. Although the odour was not "off", the meat felt "unsafe" to eat resulting in a stressful last minute change of menu. On Jan 3, I followed up with Lisa at Franz's, who was rude and unprofessional. I then received a call from Ryan, who was much more professional. I was advised that all Rouladen meat had been frozen and put in the fridge the night prior to pickup. I had not been told that the meat would be frozen when ordering, nor at the time of pickup, as I had wanted fresh meat for our special occasion. I finally asked for a refund but have had no response as yet. Disappointed and sadly will look elsewhere in the future.
