It took 7 weeks for my items that I bid on to arrive after more than a dozen phone calls and emails...3 weeks later finally the auctioneer answered and I was told that my bids would be shipped out in the next 36 hours & with tracking of my goods. Sorry to say but that did not happen...a month later after I emailed the auctioneer and told him that I had contacted HiBid and that they would be looking into this matter. A week later my items arrived without any tracking and no knowledge of them coming. Total of 7 weeks for items that were a 30 minute drive away except that you could not go pick them up yourself. I was told by another auctioneer that the address was just a post office box. Also the address has changed 3 times in recent days.

Eric seemed to be much more concerned with proving some kind of point with his condescension instead of just answering my questions and clarifying what was clear confusion regarding the products they carry and the prices of those products. Took way too long to write this. Needed two frames for auction pieces for the SPCA Gala. As we had…read moreto keep expenditures down I got frames from The Little Shop but the photographs still needed matting and mounting. I knew a few artists who had paintings framed there so thought I'd give them a try. They could not have been nicer or more helpful. One print had the photographer's signature and notes on the back. It was suggested that I photocopy it and tape that to the back of the frame. We chose a matte and it was cut and fit my frame perfectly. The second was harder as the phtographer had signed and numbered it in the white border. The solution was to "float" the photo with tiny clear tabs on a back matte and the colour matte was cut so you could see the border with the signature. Knowledgable, helpful, friendly and reliable! And to support a family business with a long history in Montreal feels good. Sometimes we forget how satisfying personal service is. I'll be back..
