When I explained my situation to his staff, he squeezed me in immediately, coming in early to do so. After completing an extensive 5 page questionnaire (much of which dealt with the use the drugs) and his review of my MRI, he explained the options available to me. I chose to have an immediate injection into my lower back, and it was amazing. Within a few hours I was able to take a few steps without assistance. I have now been opioid free for nearly twelve hours! For the first time in 10 days, I have been able to sit upright for a few hours (before I was lucky if I could do this for an hour). Although I'm still sore, I feel like I'm becoming a person again. I think Dr. Debiec is amazing - his skill, experience, and wonderful personality has calmed me and is getting me on the road to recovery. With regard to the reviews below, although I sympathize with your pain, medical professionals today must be concerned with the use of opiates and other mind altering drugs. Even the ER would only give me IV Tylenol when I entered their facility. Far too many people are getting addicted to these substances, who do nothing to cure the problem and create far more problems than they often solve. I'm guessing that if they had their orthopedic surgeon contact Dr. Debiec, as I did, their experience would have been far different.

Dr. Ades takes time to sit down with you to discuss what is bothering you and he will not prescribe medications or other medical tests unless necessary. He does not rush you out of his office and I find him very easy to talk to. One good thing about Dr. Ades is that from September to May he has Saturday hours that alternate ever other week, and that is a huge help since I cannot always take off during the week. One comment, I will make is about the "examination gowns" they do not look as if they are fresh out of the bag - honestly, with so many germs out there I would like to see a stack of gowns either in a clear plastic bag or have them pressed and neatly stacked on a shelf. That is the only comment that is not favorable, otherwise I would refer Dr. Ades to all my friends &a family.
