We'll get the reminder note in the mail to say one of our vehicles is due for a service and it is that kind of special attention that keeps us coming back. Their office lady is super friendly too. Recently searching for a first car for the newest driver in our family, Ward pointed us in the right direction and we ended up making an excellent purchase thanks to the insider advice. Auto repairs can be an expensive undertaking so I am glad to be a customer of this great little auto repair shop.

I have an old classic car as well as a Hilux and a new Corolla and when I moved to the area a few years ago I was recommended I go to Ward for my vehicle servicing and repair. Ward does my servicing, mechanical work and WOF's on all my cars and he is such a genuine honest mechanic. He has been in the business for donkeys' years, so he really knows his stuff, and nothing is a problem. He is hands down the most honest, thorough, and trustworthy mechanic I've ever been to, and I know my cars are in safe hands with Ward. His no BS thorough job saves me time and money in the long run, and I can trust everything he says. Having Ward in the same suburb I live in is awesome but even if he was 50Kms away I'd make the journey because I know he will respect and look after my pride and joy and treat it as if he owns it - this alone is a massive weight off my mind when I drop the keys off. The job is always done to an exacting standard, within budget and specified timings. If there ever is anything else required (and there always is on a classic car) Ward calls me before he starts the work with options as well as updated costs and timings. I cannot recommend Glen Eden Auto Services strongly enough, especially if you have a classic car or in fact any car which you want to take somewhere that is honest, will not rip you off and gives you peace of mind with a no-nonsense quality job. The art of good old fashioned customer service is not lost on Ward either, Ward and his receptionist are some of the friendliest and most accommodating people I have had the pleasure to deal with from any industry, not just automotive. 5 stars all the way and highly recommended!

Once agreed that yes, the job I called you to do, I do actually want done he then continued to fab up the pipe with minimal PPE (no goggles, no guard on grinder). Lastly when he went to weld the pipe on I ask if he was going to grind the rust off the pipe he was welding to. He very smartly said "uhh thats not rust" and so I said "well the built up corrosion" and he then smartly said again "mate if you can break this weld go ahead.. .. you're more than welcome to inspect the weld if you'd like" Honestly just rather pissed off with the customer service. Sure it was a cheap $100 job but come on. Dont treat your customer like an imbecile. Will not be returning and will be warning any potential customers off this place too. Would much prefer to pay someone $120 that was a genuine nice guy. -L

We turned up for the cars regular warrant check up and found to our dismay that sometime in the last month the business had changed hands. I thought that usually that the regular clients would be informed of changes like this but apparently not. Gone were the old hands who had been in the business for ages, and were always happy to have a laugh with you while they were doing the job (in particular the lovely tatted up lady). The guy who was working on the car this time around looked quite fresh faced, and definately didn't have the same experience as the old mechanics but he made up for this in his friendly demeanor and his actual desire to help. The cars bonnet had structural damage so he advised us to take it down to the panel beaters down the road and then come back and refused to let us pay for the check up that he had spent half an hour carrying out. We will just have to see how this new partnership pans out, but its off to a good start. We were lucky.
