This review might be a bit of a biased five stars, but it's impossible to rate any lower when it's the playground where I've spent most of my days, and the place that helped me find my love for park life (https://youtu.be/YSuHrTfcikU?si=PrZeWmpeKdccrNoj)! Narberth Park is the first park where I ever swung on a swing and the first park where I got kicked out of for night swinging as a young adult. It's the first place where I developed my love for baseball and hit my first of many RBIs on a field! Narberth Park is the first place I ever experienced fireworks, and my friend's high school metal band was denied a performance during a firework during the '90s despite winning a Battle of the Bands in its gazebo. But since that one oversight, The Narberth Fireworks has evolved into one of the best places to see a neighborhood firework display since it has featured food from the likes of Federal Donuts and Chickie & Pete's and music from the likes of Snacktime and Funkitorium. From sharing many good times with my cousins during summer sports camp to randomly introducing our rescue dog to a camel during one of their outdoor circuses, Narberth Park is a place of many good memories for me. And so long as it's still going strong, I'm destined to enjoy many more!. So even though it took 1600 reviews, I'm happy to include it as part of my Park Life collection on here.

The only time I really play on the Ardmore courts is when it is dark out because they are lit. The…read morecourts are down Ardmore Ave (off of Lancaster/Rt. 30) at W. Spring Avenue. There are two courts and I believe that they are opened pretty late. Sometimes there is a private going on, but this is usually OK because the other court is available. The courts are fenced in which is really good cause there is always a pick-up basketball game going on in the evenings. As far as I know, you don't have to reserve the courts and they are free for the public. There is also a baseball field next to the tennis courts and a playground. In the evenings there are usually a couple of teens hanging out around the playground or watching the basketball game, so it's not that quiet. Therefore, if you want to play a real game without verbal lets in the evening, you may want to go to Radnor High. During the day it should be OK as kids are in school or what not, but I prefer to play on the Narberth courts then. Street parking is available right next to the courts.

There are two courts that are well lit at night. The lights are on a timer that you can up every 2 hrs. If the lights do do out on you, you can turn them back on with the timer on the big electric pole with the electrical boxes. They may be delayed coming back on, but be patient- they will come back on! Not sure how long into the fall/winter months the nets are kept up, but will definitely play evenings as long as they are up and weather is mild enough. Courts and net system are in fine repair. There are lighted basketball courts as well which has pick up games. Parking is available on the side neighborhood streets just down the block. Thank you for the option of lighted courts!!

I can't remember if there are three or four courts here. I'm blanking and I'm mad because last…read morefall I played here twice, sometimes three, times a week! Anyways, Narberth courts are great. Plenty of parking as there is a parking lot right next to the courts and not that much noise during the day. During the day there are a lot of moms that take their children to the playground located near the courts. The noise level isn't that bad though because there is a pavilion between the playground and the courts. There is also a ball park next to the courts. As far as I know, you don't have to reserve or pay for the courts and they are opened to the public. There are no facilities at the park that I know of (please correct me if I am wrong). The only tiff I have with this Narberth courts is that they are not lit so it's very hard to play in the evening (obviously). Added bonus is that the fire department and police department are a parking lot away, in the case that you pull a Youzhny on the courts (http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=430_1207137519&p=1). Edit 5/30/08: There is a lot of noise pollution around here (minus one star) because the R5 passes through and there is usually a baseball or basketball game going on and ALWAYS a lot of kids in the park.

Underneath has some pretend items for smaller kids to play in. Multiple slides including one enclosed 2 story slide that is a favorite of ours. 2 additional stand-alone slides, a geodesic dome, swings... plenty of things for everyone to play on! There is also a couple of baseball fields that are catty-corner to one another with some grass in between. There are two tennis courts that are in really great shape and two basketball courts that are usually open. The park is adjacent to the Haverford College nature trail which is a nice way to extend a park visit or change up the walk to and from the park. Parking is a bit of a pain in the butt, only street parking however it is worth the hassle.
