I have been very pleased to work with Gabriel Katzner ever since our last estate attorney unfortunately passed. We had a preliminary meeting with Gabriel to just get our bearings with what our original trust documents stated, and Gabriel did a great job of figuring out the structure of my parents' trusts when they weren't something he originally drafted. But where Gabriel really came through was years later when we had an emergency that required immediate amendments to the trust. He dropped everything and gave us his full attention to make sure my mom's wishes were honored. He worked around our schedule and consulted with others to make sure he had the right answers. He is very detailed. You'll often see a lot of parentheticals in his writing, and I mention this not to point out any sort of fault, but to show that he often qualifies what he says because he pays attention to the details and potential pitfalls. This is of critical importance with an estate plan. Gabriel is also one of those attorneys that will give you an all-inclusive price, rather than bill per hour. Just move from Nevada and wanted to convert my living trust to a California living trust which can be done by a simple amendment. By email he refused to give me a price and suggested I listen to his one hour online seminar to find out what his flat was. I got the feeling I wasn't worth his time since I did not need estate planning at this time. I guess making contact for future business is not what he's into. I came to Gabe at the beginning of a very unexpected divorce and weeks prior to leaving to country to be stationed overseas for a couple of years.
