I hesitate to even leave a great review for JNH Electric - he's a hidden gem in the Minneapolis…read morearea! But we had a fabulous experience so fair is fair. I just relocated to the Minneapolis area in May, 2021. Not until we got some significant rain in August did I realize there were some issues with the electrical in/leading to the garage. After rain, or heavy watering on the lawn, the power to the garage would cut out - the breaker tripped and we'd have to reset it. Eventually the fuse blew and I knew we needed some pro help. I spoke with several other electricians, and John was the only one who happily provided a rough estimate on timing/cost prior to coming out - with the huge caveat that he'd need to investigate to give us a real estimate. Regardless, he immediately put my mind at ease that this wouldn't be the budget-ending project I initially feared. He also was not at all in the sales mindset, and encouraged me to get second opinions, estimates, etc. since he didn't want to push me in any one direction. He books out several weeks - John is in high demand! - but had a cancellation and snuck us in on a Friday morning. John was in and out of the house in less than a few hours, he fixed the problem AND found a few small changes we could make to future-proof our wiring. And best of all, he did all of this for thousands less than I had been quoted by other companies. I will hands-down recommend John to anyone who needs an electrician in the area!

This winter our electric panel started shooting off sparks and every other electrician we called…read morewas booking out for two months and wouldn't make an exception for an emergency. Harrison Electric got someone out the same day and he worked for over four hours on the panel. Another time I also had them put in an outlet and when I called saying it seemed to be tripping the test button a lot, they got someone out the next day to replace it, no charge, which solved the problem! I happened upon this company on accident when in a desperate situation, and now I will never use another company as long as they are in business!

I texted Mike this week and he responded in less than 10 minutes with a guy available the next day. Nate was out at our home today for several hours and did an excellent job (super friendly, polite, made great recommendations for this project and future needs, cleaned up very thoroughly). Overall, great guys, really fairly priced, never had any issues!

When they finally did the job the electrician himself was pleasant and did a good job. It just wasn't worth dealing with Mike and his disorganized methods. He never provided me an invoice but weeks later texted me out of the blue simply stating, "can I get paid?". After finally sending an invoice we settled up and will not return as customers.

I meant to review sooner. Hitec did a great job bidding for, scheduling and installing our EV…read morecharger almost two years ago. We had two other bids. One was ridiculously high (this is our second install plus another at my mother-in-laws, sister-in-law's, and our son's, so we have a pretty good idea about costs and what increases that cost). Hitech was responsive, knowledgeable, reasonably priced and when they came out, there was an experienced electrician training a young journeyman electrician. They were both nice and made sure we were happy with the job. 18 months after intallation, my car started to send a message that it was sensing heat at the outlet and was turning off. When I called Hitec, they were very responsive and sent a tech out the next morning. He said they have not had any issues with the boxes, but he would check everything out. The only thing he found was that one of the four screws was not tight. He tightened it and told me that if I got a message again, to call them right back and they would send someone out to redo the work. We have not had any other issues. Their great reputation, immediate response and willingness to make sure the work is done right means we'll use them again for any future electrical work.

He provided a lot of helpful feedback and insights that I will use as I finish some of the electrical updates I have planned. I will surely pay them with referrals and any future I needs that is over my DIY abilities.
