The gentleman in the office was initially polite and explained that the tire technician would not arrive for another 15 minutes. Because I was concerned about driving 20 minutes home on a potentially damaged tire, he offered to inspect it himself. He told me there was a piece of metal or possibly a screw in the sidewall and that, because of its location, the tire could not be patched and would need to be replaced. After hearing the price--which I felt was extremely high for one tire--I declined and asked him to air it up so I could make it home. When I arrived home, my husband and I inspected the tire. There was nothing in the sidewall. The screw was in the middle of the tread, in an area where the tire could be patched. I cannot say whether he assumed I would not know better because I am a woman or whether he was taking advantage of the fact that I was in a hurry, but either way, I was given inaccurate information that could have resulted in my purchasing a tire I did not need. I did not appreciate the experience, and I would strongly recommend getting a second opinion before agreeing to a tire replacement here.

After he looked at the tire he showed me the age of the tire and the nail that was in the corner of the side and offered to see what he had in this size It was late in the afternoon and all of technician were busy so Mr Nathan went out and install them himself so I could be done in an hour. Wow. I never seen someone do this in a tire shop.
