While the station was unattended when I was in, the bathrooms were clean and there are water fountains. There's also some cool art right outside, but at the end of the day the proximity to everything in Sedalia is the best part of this little stop.

I plagued him with many questions and he graciously and promptly replied. He even checked in on us our first night to assure that we were good to go. The owners of the home were so kind and lovely, if you needed anything at all you could just ask. Though, they did make sure we were not In need of anything. The rooms were decorated so cute, all of the rooms, shared hangout spaces, and bathrooms were so clean and inviting. I especially loved that our bathroom had a garden tub in it! When it came to breakfast time I don't think there was a single thing more I could have asked for. Every morning there was coffee, apple juice, orange juice, assorted toasts/breads, eggs, fruit, delicious homemade baked goods (blueberry muffins and the apple nut bread was my favorite). On other days we also had biscuits and gravy, and amazing Amish bacon added to the already perfect breakfast spread. If you are looking for a place to stay while in town I would highly recommend the Haysler House bed and breakfast.

It's totally old school, but with modern amenities such as flat screen TV, mini fridge and microwave, and multi-plug charging station. The air conditioner is whisper quiet and the bed and pillows are just the right level of soft. There is a freezer with ice outside. Since the bathroom sink is so tiny, it's hard to refill a bike water bottle or CamelBak bladder. Turn around and use the bathtub. Problem solved. I got to meet Scott, the owner, and some of his employees and they are all super friendly. He enjoyed telling me about the attention he received when he and his motel were featured on the front page of the KC Star in 2015 (the article is posted under glass at the front desk so take a look when you check in), and how he is happy to host bikers from the trail and hopes to see more as the trail expands. The motel is just a 100 yards or less off the trail, across the street from Sonic. It's also an easy 10 minute walk into town to some of the other restaurants. Look forward to staying here again.

I did note the room was nicely decorated, the largest LED television I've ever seen in a room (55 inches), and a nice microwave and refrigerator. Although the bed was a little bit too hard, I was able to rest on it comfortably. I looked at the mattress for bed bugs (like I do at all hotels) and noted this was a generic, all weather, plastic covered full sized mattress you could go rafting down a river on or use with other water sports. True story. There were some minor concerns: Upon initial hotel registration, the gentleman behind the counter in his native language got on the phone. I overheard my name said twice while he was looking at my driver's license. Not sure what that was about, so I let it go. First time I've experienced this odd behavior by a hotel representative. Later that evening there was some creepy guy eye-balling me from his room. I had seen him earlier talking with the owner or staff member, and I initially thought he may work there. Ensure your anti-virus and malware is up to date. I had caught a virus on their hotel wifi, in which I had to reformat my computer when I got home.

We were denied because they found a bedbug, claiming it to be from us as we were the last fare. This is not enough reason to ban us as bedbugs hide and they had other fares before us. And I don't think they'd have time to clean their vehicles between each fare. Did they take photos, cleaning receipts, timestamps, etc? No, nothing was provided for us.This is public transportation and who is to say it didn't come from another fare. This has been very embarrassing for us. We did call them to talk to someone but it was futile. They are always busy, always late, vehicle doors don't always work, mostly uncomfortable. Not very professional.
