They teach their drivers when making a right-hand turn to turn into the left lane, not the one closest to the curb (right lane).

We paid for the full package (in class and driving lessons), its been almost 1 year and we cannot get our 7 " in car" lessons scheduled - yes its been that bad its always full and emails and phone calls go unanswered, I have never received a follow up phone call or email back from this place. On average we could only get 1 lesson every 2 months (it's a good thing my child wasn't too keen on getting their license). Also maps show it as located close to La centerra on Cinco Ranch but they are actually way west on Westheimer. read more

HORRIBLE SCHEDULING system for drive times and it is nearly impossible to schedule the drives. I have tried logging on within an hour or two of the school posting drive time and every time, all the classes are taken. Try calling the school but it is always busy and you cannot even leave a voicemail. I have even tried emailing but no one responds to you. When I finally get a hold of someone, I am told that they no longer have any drive times and to try again in two weeks or log on randomly throughout the week to see if anyone has cancelled because people are allow to schedule multiple drives at once. How is this fair? They do not have enough drive times for all the students enrolled (mine you, you have to pay in advance for ALL the drive times) but students are allowed to schedule multiple drives at once. I am in the process of trying to get my son transferred to another school so hopefully he can get enough drive time by the deadline. I WOULD NOT recommend the school to anyone as I've had the worst time just trying to schedule drives. read more

My review is based on the 24/7 online Defensive Driving Class I found via Katy Driving School link. This class is taken to dismiss a questionable traffic ticket or to lower your inflated insurance premium. It was $25 flat. No trick-bags later unlike some of their competitors. Best of all, $25 is the price so no coupon or Groupon needed. Signing up for the class was easy and can be done from phone or PC. When I did have a question, I contacted them via email at night and someone followed up even during after hours. The law requires 6 hours no matter what unfortunately for us. I consider myself a excellent driver so most of the questions were easier than I thought and well written out. I was able to multi-task and complete all 58 questions over the period of 2 days when I was able to listen to it in background. You can read with no sound if you prefer. If you get the question wrong, you will be required to restart the video and have the chance to answer again. Some of the videos were sad because they were based on true stories and I felt bad for people who lost their kids due to someone else's negligence. Most of the videos will keep your attention. Another reason, I recommend this one versus the one on Groupon is there is no additional charge for the certificates. No waiting on the mail either. They are provided immediately and you can save them in their PDF format or print them out RIGHT AWAY. You are provided two certificates once you past test. One for Court and one for your Insurance. read more

They don't answer the phone or emails and it's impossible to schedule lessons. Everyone that has experienced this should file a complaint with TX Dept of Licensing and Regulation. They deserve to be fined. Also consider a complaint to attorney general since they cannot provide the services they are advertising and it's dishonest. They cancelled an in person class and marked in their online system that the student was present which was impossible since they canceled the class. No refund or credit was given for that. I remember coming to this school back in 2016 it was a great start for me to drive out in the road. I was quite nervous at first but I managed to overcome no matter what obstacle I've been through. It was tough cause some of the instructors would often discourage me which makes me feel insecure . Here's a tip never take lessons with Mr. Nunez cause he's one feisty old man who would often harass students who are literally taking the lesson and all he ever did was shout, I nearly lost my temper but I didn't let it get to me though, I suggest Nunez should chill out for once in his life. The best teachers: Ashley=very caring, understanding, takes the lesson with a flow, encouraged me to continue no matter what. Mr.Steven=gave me good advice, good cooperation, got a A on a lesson. read more

My son took the course last September. They explained everything we had to do before he could get his license. I saw on here that people complained about drive times. While there is not a schedule out for months you have to check the site a lot but I was able to get my sons drive times without issue. I was able to get a drivers test with our issue and they explained everything about the process now that the shutdown has occurred. I highly recommend them. Adam loved Mr. Frazier and Mr. Ron did the road test and was excellent. read more

Would never recommend. We had scheduled a appointment and knowone showed up, they are very unorganized. I even called the day ahead to confirm my appointment for Driving test. As you know there is lots a planning because then you have to schedule DPS to get your license. There is only a Answering machine so can never REACH ANYONE! I learned a lot and was educated on the basics of driving. They presented us with a lot of driving videos, some lectures and lots of worksheets to help us understand how to drive. The prices are good for the classroom course, hands on driving, and driving observation part. I had Mr. Hamman as an instructor and he was the best! I learned a lot from his class and he kept it light and fun with his laid-back attitude and humor. My favorite driving coach was Mr. Mooney! He was fun to talk to and kept me at ease when learning how to actually drive on the road. Whenever I made a mistake, he constructively criticized me without me feeling bad or nervous. He was a good coach and really helped me learn. I did not like Mr. Nunez or Mr. Jones at all. They both yelled at me when I didn't really understand what they were saying. Nunez completely disregarded my feelings and kept yelling at me for my first time in the freeway. His instructions on how to drive were completely unclear! I never had a clue what he was trying to tell me and left me feeling completely awful after our lesson together. That is not how a new driver should feel. Instead of being educated, I was berated and shaken up. Mr. Jones was better but laughed at me constantly and embarrassed me in front of the student observer behind me when I made a mistake. The experience here comes from which instructor/coach you get. I went Monday through Friday from 7PM-9PM with a 10 minute break. I also got 20 hours of driving experience/observation. Overall, I liked it here but some people made it less enjoyable. read more

Very impressed with this school. We just used it to take the driving test to skip the hassle of the DMV. Ron was very friendly and professional and made my kids feel comfortable while doing the test. We heard great things about this school and can validate it is worth doing it there. I just wish we would have done the driving school there too. read more

I went to Katy driving school for adult driving classes. I had Mr. Nunez and he was awful! When I scheduled my first class, he asked if I knew how to drive and of course I said no, that was the reason I paid for driving lessons so he said that I wasn't able to go until I knew how to drive. So I did, I learned the very basic stuff. When I got to my first class he was teaching me left and right turns at CRHS parking lot, he started yelling at me and saying awful things like I din't know how to think, that why was I there if I did things my way (referring to my turns because I was learning!!!) and that I was probably going to fail the test, his instructions were unclear and he never encouraged me to like or want to improve my driving, that was 2 months ago a still to this day I get really nervous when I drive because of his discouragement. I would recommend this school to anyone who is looking for a driving course, its pricey for what they offer. I paid around $300 for 3 hours of class to be yelled at and not to mention that I left my first class crying. Definitely not worth the money and awful instructors that did not help at all with my driving. read more

It is near impossible to schedule drive times. They are almost never updated, and when they finally do update them, they go so fast that you can only get one. Then you are left to wait another 2-3 weeks to try and schedule another one. With as many students as they have, you'd think they would have more drive times available. At this rate, I will be lucky to get all the required drive times in before the deadline. read more
