I prefer Katy Perry to Katy Bingo for obvious reasons. And she smells better. I've been here on several occasions, usually to pick the same person up who is an avid follower of bingo in general, and a good friend, and about 47 years older than me give or take a few decades. The one thing I always noticed is that even being in here for three minutes I end up smelling like smoke, and specifically my clothes (jeans and sweater/hoodie in particular) end up smelling like smoke for the rest of the night and probably the next day too. That can be really problematic and it bothers me a lot, but at the same time the people that come here seem to love it here. They're mostly the older generations who used to go out to places that always smell of smoke all the time, so be it. I mean they used to eat in restaurants filled with smoke constantly. Ew. I'm not a fan. The facility should obviously be no smoking, but I guess they're worried that they will make less money. Personally I think they will make more money if they're non smoking and they'll be a hell of a lot more healthy. And would get a better review from me, too. read more

OMG....let me start with the good stuff- GREAT computers! Great staff! Nice, clean place. I WANTED to have fun, and I spent almost $300 trying, but for goodness sake- can't you find a way to post ON THE Bingo sign which game you are currently playing?!!! I won 100 pull tabs which I was VERY excited about, but then realized it was the NEXT game called!!! WTF??!!!! I had to trust others to assist me in what should have been MY fun. That is seriously wrong. Next, I won three pull tabs worth $1, so I traded them for three others. Guess what? THAT game was never called!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I want to come back, I really do, but right now, I am not feeling any trust that I can be assured that the above things will NOT happen again. It's unlike any experience I've had at the many other Bingo Halls in both Sa Antonio and Houston areas. I am NOT a beginner. Please help me want to return. Please consider my issues and appropriate responses to the problems. read more

They moved locations and it all looks so clean. They have a private room for smoking. The staff is very attentive and it's a good price.

Staff has always made me feel welcomed. A lot of jokes and fun. For the most part, the patrons are really patient and courteous. Sometimes certain sellers ignore you until after they've take care of their regulars first. Luckily there are enough that you can normally get what you want. I do enjoy the place, even if I don't win. read more

I started playing at this bingo hall when it FIRST opened around 2000!! So yes I have been through many ownership changes -- some good some bad! Most current staff is very nice... with the exception of one!! Recently when I bingoed, I raised my computer up to let the workers know to come over. The caller told me to PUT IT DOWN until the number was called!!! I said no, i want someone to come over to get my machine when I called!! Sorry but she is very rude!!! I have had many others say the same thing about her and I won't repeat what they said!! Not everyone of Hispanic descent is that rude!! read more

What?! Bingo on the SOUTHWEST side of Houston/surrounding area? Get the whaa outta here! My thoughts exactly when I went down the "bingo Houston" google list and came here one Friday night. I'll make this review...little (well sort of). Because that's exactly what the key word for Katy Bingo is. The place was pretty small in space. Not only that, but I was hit with almost a whoosh of smog into my poor lungs. I had called in advance to ask how they handled cigarette smoke and they reassured me that they had the smoke ventilators installed enough to where the odor wasn't that bad. Trust me---it was that bad. Yeah, they had a "smoking" side and a "non-smoking" side, but that definitely didn't stop the entire room from reaking. If you make reference back to "the list" of necessities of a successful bingo experience, they already failed #1 (large hall) and #2 (cigarette smoke control). As far as cost, there are better halls to go to with cheaper prices. The cost of ONE 12 pack of cards for 1 session was $10!! (compare that to other places, that's almost double the amount for a pack per session). Big strike. After my bf, sister and I sat down, (again, go down my "list" of must haves of a good bingo experience), of course we looked for food. I must have spun around and walked in a circle 100's of times because there was NO FOOD there. Just a solitary vending machine. A vending machine! And what else? there was NO BEER. Bingo player or not, I'm sure you understand the travesty of what this meant for me. It was just. not. right. I stayed for one session and it was an "ehhh" experience. I have to say the caller was really slowww. my goodness. I will say when I called, the person I spoke to was very helpful and polite at telling me about the place. And I think this place wasn't fully stocked, so to say, because he did mention that they'd only been open for about a year. I really wanted to like this place, especially since it was on my side of town, but it just wronged me in so many ways. If they're still around, I'll have to see if they make any improvements, but for right now, I just can't go back. read more

What a great place to play bingo. The entire staff is always nice and very helpful. The games are reasonably priced. Compared to all the other bingo places I have visited this is one of my favorites and very close to me. They have a lot of side games in between the main bingo card games which is not really fun if you do not play and are just there for the standard games. The place has a "smoking" and "non-smoking area" but the entire place smells like smoke. If you are not a fan of smelling like smoke then this place may not be for you. You are able to bring outside food since they do not sell any concession. They do have one vending machine and a coke machine. Yay! All in all, this place is great and would recommend if you are looking a new bingo hall to play at. read more

The outside is nice so you would think that the inside would be better but no it's way worse!!All you smell is SMOKE SMOKE SMOKE it's honestly so annoying because I'm an 12 year old girl that can't stand the smell of SMOKE!!! I think if they are going to allow people to smoke they should have a like smoke area because some people go to have a good time or to Win some money not to get a headache because all the people that are there are smoking! Will never come to this bingo hall again. I'm a registered nurse and I spend a lot of money at this bingo hall. I went this morning to their sister bingo hall and spent 500. I have been coming to this bingo hall before these current owners even took over. Today I came and and spent well over 500 before bingo even started. I won early bird computers but their floor employee only gave me 3. I called it to her attention as soon as I noticed. I bought 18 computers myself and won 2 computers and won an additional 4 computers meaning I should have a total of 24 computers. When I realized I was missing a computer I counted the computers I already set up and then realized I was missing one of my 18 computers. I probably would have never noticed that had she gave me the 4 computers. Rather than the workers trying to figure out what happened they basically acted as if I was lying. Why would I lie about 1 computer when I literally just bought 18. Well they do not have to worry about me playing here anymore. On top of that all they have to do is count the number of computers on my table which is 23. Or better yet they can review their camera and see that their incompetent employee only gave me 3 rather than being accusatory towards me. And I had planned to go to their sister bingo again tonight. But oh well I can save my money or use it else where. Good people always prevail. Which is why I won tonight and did not buy a single pull tab there after. Thank you guys again for how you treated me. God bless! Nevertheless I'm VERY offended. I would have tipped more than the cost of the free computer Smdh. read more

Now I love me some BiNGO the old school Bingo with daubers and cards! New age Bingo the computer plays itself you just sit and watch! First impression was they started Bingo 30 minutes late! The lines are really long to purchase cards they had 4 registers but only 2 were being worked on! After waiting and waiting and waiting they finally start but I was disappointed because they called so many pull tab games! They really should hold that until intermissions because some of us just want to play our cards! We played one game then about 3 more pull tab games! At this point I'm ready to go and thanking Jesus I didn't pay for 2 sessions! The place is cash only so leave your credit cards or use the ATM located inside for a $3 convenience fee! No concessions but outside food is allowed they even have a microwave to heat up your food! Prices were reasonable I played computers 1 session was $10 each but $15 each for both sessions. The computers go fast because I don't think it is a limit on how many each player can purchase. The paper cards were popular also but I think that is because of you buy a computer you get the paper cards dirt cheap. If you have an issue with smoking don't bother you will be smoked there is no formal separation just this side smoking and this side non smoking no separate room or divider! read more

Prices of cards are: 12 cards = $5 24 cards = $7 36 cards = $8 60 cards = $10 Computer deal: Buy 4 for $60 Bingo starts at 7:30pm on weekdays and it gets crazy packed. There is a smoking and non-smoking section, but you'll walk out smelling like smoke either way. The vents aren't that great and it's like the whole room is a smoking zone. A lot of people here get computers; so if you buy cards and daub them you won't really stand a chance. Each person has like 10 computers to themselves and each computer holds about 60 cards. If you're going to just have fun and play bingo than I advise going to another location because it's hard to win when you're playing by paper and not as fun because you won't even get close to bingo before someone calls it. They don't have a place to buy food or vending machines; so if you're hungry during break or just want something to eat then you're gonna have to buy it before coming here or go to KFC, which is walking distance. Overall, this location isn't that great for bingo, too many computers are used. If you want to play bingo the traditional way, I advise choosing a different place. read more

I am shocked by the negative reviews. First, having the ability to bring anything you want to eat or drink is an absolute plus! Most bingo halls don't allow this, they mainly serve yucky burgers, anything that can be fried and require you to pay cash. I like using my cash to play not eat, that's what credit cards are for. If anyone can tell me where the Bingo food is as good as Chipotle, Whataburger, Panera, Subway or basically any place you want to stop, please let me know. It does require planning ahead but if you want the best out of your bingo experience you should do that anyway. The prices for computers and paper at Katy Bingo are lower than at least eight other halls. and their payouts are better. There are only two halls in the Houston area that have six chances to win $700 plus. I have seen many people win on just paper and on a single computer. If its your time to win, You Will Win! They also sell a ton of pull tabs (at least 4 all players ($225 - $300) 6 or more horse races ($500 - $599) and 3 or more daub games ($400 - $599) a night. That equals a lot of money to be won. As for the place itself. Yes, it's small but that means less people are playing which ups your odds of winning. They also have great floor workers, that are always willing to help in any way. Katy Bingo is a smoking hall which I understand bothers some people, If your allergic to cigarette smoke, you probably need to play somewhere else. But if its an annoyance issue, get there early and sit against the wall in non-smoking its really not that bad. My favorite rule of Katy Bingo is the limit on computers (20) No other place does that.The owner set the limit to allow everyone an opportunity to win!!! Terrible, terrible and terrible all over again. The noise level in the place is above loud! The callers were constantly on their cell phones texting and forgetting they were calling bingo. And speaking of bingo, they basically play pull tabs with an occasional sprinkle of bingo. Between every bingo game they would play 2-3 pull tab games. It took an hour and a half to play four games of bingo. Absolutely ridiculous! They should change their name to Katy pull tabs and just do away with the actual bingo part because that's pretty much what they have done. I will never ever go there again. And....they wonder why attendance has dropped dramatically. If you want some advice, go somewhere else and save yourself the anxiety. read more

This place is ok at best. They NEVER start on time and only concerned with selling pull tabs. They keep you here because they can't sell the tickets after bingo is closed. I also wonder how the same people, week after week win 2 to 3 games (sometimes more) per night... And you can't tell me some of the kids I see in here are 7 years of age. What they should do is remove those machines and put up a glass partition to enclose that section and then make that the smoking area. This would allow those of us who don't smoke to enjoy bingo without being held hostage by the strong smoke in the room. All else said, the workers are very nice. read more

Ok, I saw the other reviews and I picked up food prior to going to play and you can bring your own drinks. Even beer. Great staff. The pay outs are a real good amounts. I played a few times before I won. I came into a late session and won! The smoke is less than in a night club. I have been to smoke free bingo halls and you can't bring in food or drinks and the pay outs are very little. You have to stand in long food lines. But not at KATY Bingo. I'm here to play, not eat! read more
