I was very clear with the receptionist about what I needed when I scheduled the appointment. I arrived a few minutes early and was told Emma was running half an hour late. When she finally came to fetch me she asked me what she could do for me. I told her. She said, "I don't cut short hair. My specialty is long hair." What kind of stylist can't cut short hair? She agreed to color it and tried to book me for the following week for a trim - with another stylist. I don't want to wait another week for a trim! The color she put on my hair was so dark it's almost black and does not match the color I already had. Guess I will have to start all over again from scratch. It's so very, very upsetting and disappointing.

Kia is a Vivid Hair Specialist who has transformed my hair from its natural brown to teal, then pink with extensions, and now purple with a silver money piece! She's super sweet, and she's always been very realistic with me about what kind of maintenance certain colors or cuts need. (Despite how it may seem, I like low maintenance even though I still want fun colors.) For the time and service she provides, her rates are very reasonable. I've looked forward to every visit with her, and I feel like my self-confidence has grown not just because of my beautiful hair but also because of her positive and empowering outlook! Ariel is an amazing nail artist! I was never one to get my nails done regularly (low maintenance, like I wrote), but when I was getting my hair done, I'd see Kia's nails (always done by Ariel), and they were literally fantastic. So I gave it a whirl and got some fancy nails for a business trip. And then I asked for some fun nails for a wedding. The more I visited the salon, the more I enjoyed the ladies that worked there and the energy that I felt, and the more I wanted to come back. Now I come every 4 weeks for Ariel to do my nails. Each time I come with an idea or inspiration from Instagram, and Ariel makes magic. She's a true artist!
