We hired Lisa of Kattastic Kare to come into our home and care for our 7 cats (6 inside and one outside) for two weeks while traveling abroad. She did an excellent job of not only caring for the cats but also sending us pictures and small videos each day when she was visiting. The cats all loved her, though some took a few days. Besides the daily emails, she documented when she came into the house on a registry left with showing the date and time she visiting and who she interacted with. She is extremely affordable too. Lisa is amazing with our two dogs. We have an old 12 year old Maltichon and a Shiba Inu that just turned one. After a couple of bad experiences leaving our older dog in boarding placed throughout Vallejo/Benicia when we leave for a vacation, we thought it would be better to have someone watch him at our house - especially with a new puppy that was coming. We went to Florida for the holidays, and Lisa sent us pictures of our dogs everyday, walked them, fed them, played with them, etc. She did basically everything we would have done with our dogs if we were home. Lisa has watched our 2 cats several times for a little over a year now. She is very prompt, professional, and courteous in-person. While we are away, she takes great care of our cats by feeding them, changing their water, and cleaning their litter box. She also brings in our mail and takes out our trash, when needed. Despite how shy our cats are, we always receive daily updates with pictures. When we return home, we get a filled out checklist and invoice. Between visits, Lisa provides regular updates about her upcoming vacations, which is really helpful. I've had a VERY HORRID experience with boarding my dogs at a "chain" establishment, PetSm!@#, when i was on a two-week trip. my dogs were emotionally scarred from the experience -- lost a lot of weight and their demeanors completely changed (my dog didn't even respond to his name or unique whistle). so, i decided to give Lisa a shot in prep for my two-week vacation; she visited the dogs 2x a day, sent photos and emails of them each day, walked them and took care of my home. when I got home, my doggies were the same as when I left them. lisa does not only do this as a job, but she does this because she enjoys it, which is important and reassuring. my dogs love her (I saw pictures of them on her lap, which is rare because my dogs don't do that); she is reliable, caring, follows through, dependable and her fees are reasonable! read more
