It's been around forever, real old school, my type of pub. Parts of it are literally falling apart lol! It's one of these pubs that still has a hardware store on the premises. Lovely beer garden out the back, the place to be on a fine day. The lads behind the bar are sound out too. Recommended , one of about 3 pubs I'd socialise in when visiting Gorey. Cheers!

We sat in there, got a couple drinks, and watched the football game on TV. They also sell crisps and peanuts, but they're just bagged Taytos, but it hit the spot. I hope to come back here one day, as this place is seeping with small town history and has such a lovely feeling.

The restaurant is lovingly decorated and is cosy and quirky at the same time. The menu sounded delicious all around and I had a hard time making up my mind. Eventually we both settled for the Risotto. The food was very good and the portion was big, definitely a great choice. The wood fired pizza looked amazing too and I would probably give it a go next time. I'm gonna deduct a star, just because I felt that the service wasn't as good as it could have been. We'd probably have ordered a second round of drinks, but the staff seemed overwhelmed with a half-full restaurant and didn't come by to check on our table.
