I've known Eddy for YEARS and when my wife and I received a notice from AAA stating our insurance…read morerates were going up by a couple of hundred dollars (why, I have no clue), it was time to switch. Eddy was our go to guy, answering all of our NOOB insurance questions, giving explanations of what everything meant, what it covers, and offering his personal recommendations to ensure my family was safe and taken care of if in fact something were to ever happen in an accident. Eddy understands insurance and basically saves you the time of shopping around for lower rates. Easy to talk to, great communication, excellent customer service, highly experienced in his field, and a game changer when it comes to insurance. Let's just say, he saved us close to $800 a year and got us even better coverage than what we had! Thanks again for all your help and efforts!! We'll be coming to you when we're ready to switch our home insurance policy as well!!!

If I could leave less than one star, I would. For those for whom this is too long to read, Vita…read morefailed to timely notify me that my medical insurance terminated on 7/31/25 and then withdrew over $2000 for coverage that I no longer qualified for from my bank account. Here's the full story: I worked for for 19 years for a law firm that used Vita Companies, and I feel that I have had sufficient experience with them to say that they are incompetent. Their communication is abysmal. I had an inordinate amount of trouble adding a spouse to my insurance, which should be a simple matter. When I retired on January 15 of this year, I needed COBRA coverage, which was unfortunately administered by Vita. I had planned to be on COBRA through the end of August, 2025, as I turn 65 on September 1, 2025. I had set up automatic payments to cover the premiums, and in July, I called Vita to find out how much lead time I needed to cancel the automatic payments, given that, in September, I would have Medicare. I was told that I could cancel at any time. Ok, good, so my understanding was that, anytime after my payment for August, I could cancel. I happened to have an MRI scheduled on August 16. On August 15, I received a call from my provider telling me that my COBRA coverage had been terminated as of July 31, 2025. You can likely imagine how much distress this news caused. I spent an hour on the phone with my insurance company (talking to not less than 8 different people) until they finally referred me to Vita, who told me that my COBRA coverage ended on July 31, 2025 because I turned 64 on September 1, 2025. Obviously, this was something nobody had bothered to tell me, not even the Vita representative I spoke to in July. So they terminated my coverage without notice, and then on August 5, withdrew $2020 from my bank account for the coverage that I was no longer eligible for. Today, I received a reimbursement check from them that was about $73 short. I called the company and was advised that the difference was due to my having vision and dental COBRA coverage. Evidently, it was only the medical COBRA coverage that was terminated. How I was supposed to know is a mystery to me, since Vita said nothing about this. Their non-communication created a major fire drill in which I had to get Medicare and Plan G coverage in place as quickly as possible. I was able to do this, but I wasn't able to get prescription drug coverage in place mid-month, so because of their negligence, I have no prescription drug coverage for 2 weeks (as a result, I had to forego picking up drugs for which the out-of-pocket costs amounted to $6000). Communication is their job, really their only job. They failed abysmally. If I had had a major medical expense in the beginning of August, I may have been on the hook for multiple hundreds of thousands of dollars. I spoke with one of their representatives today and, in response to my legitimate upset, I got the stock "I'm sorry you feel that way" non-apology. Well. Anyone who found out that their medical insurance had been terminated without notice immediately prior to a medical procedure they had waited weeks for would "feel that way." The issue is not my feelings. The issue is their failure to do their job. A failure, I might note, that not only exposes them to liability, but anyone who hires them. Vita doesn't care about the employees who depend on them, but Vita might care if those who pay their bills understand that they face liability too, for hiring such a consistently incompetent concern.

When there is a discrepancy with a claim or a rejected receipt they promptly freeze my FSA card without notice causing it to be declined when I try to use it. This is not only embarrassing and frustrating but also completely unreasonable and unethical. I gave them 1 star because zero was not an option.

Insurance can be tricky on its own, and my situation is a little more complicated than most. Oleg has taken the time to walk me through all of my options, even suggesting that I not purchase some coverages, as the existing policies I had were more financially beneficial. He is ethical and honest, as well as compassionate - sometimes insurance digs into sensitive topics, and he has handled it all with grace and the utmost respect. Not to mention his personality - he is absolutely dedicated to helping you best way he can. I had a very tricky situation where I got into an accident, and my insurance policy at the time has lapsed (AAA) without my knowledge. AAA denied my claim, my AAA agent had no interest in helping me. Police report at the time of the accident could not determine fault. Other party was claiming I ran a red light, even though I did not - and, inevitable, other parties' insurance made me at fault of an accident. Other party started to look for a lawyer to sue me for "physical damages" to make some money. Thankfully, I was introduced to Oleg. He helped me every step of the way to fight this decision. He evaluated police report, reviewed communication from the other insurance company, and compiled letters for me that helped to prove that the other party was at fault, and revert the original decision of the other party's insurance. His professionalism, guidance, and understanding of the system, helped me avoid lawsuits and lawyer bills that would put the future of my entire family at risk. Oleg was on my side, guiding me in this battle every step of the way. I am in the process of transitioning to Farmers insurance now, so he can be my agent for years to come. Would give more stars if I could!
