I am so happy I found Kathryn. I made an appointment to try and correct a very bad hair cut from a salon here in Sienna. She did a fantastic job. She listened and was very professional in looking at a style that would work for me then quickly proceeded to get to work. It turned out great. And on top of that she is very gracious! I would highly recommend. . read more

This review is long overdue! I am incredibly picky about my hair and finding a great hair stylist is no easy task. I have thick curly hair with lots of body and not every cut or color is for me. I've had some horrible experiences that left me in tears because, as some of you know, there are stylists out there who present themselves as knowledgeable and you learn otherwise with just one bad cut and/or color. So, once I do find an awesome stylist I will just about follow them wherever they go. I was lucky to have someone like that for 15+ years, but my scheduling conflicts and my moving prompted me to look closer to home. Finding that perfect stylist can be like finding that perfect significant other, sometimes it's kismet and sometimes, well, you have to kiss a lot of frogs before you find that prince. Likewise with a stylist. To hopefully narrow the search I turned to Yelp and the first stylist I found was Kathryn. I never could have imagined I would be so lucky from the get go. She had awesome reviews and most all had to do with her being a gifted colorist as well as stylist. This immediately caught my eye and I decided to give her a try. I knew I had the right person immediately after she colored and cut my hair and 2 1/2 years later I am still a faithful client! I walk into every appointment and give my hair over to her with confidence that she will do whatever it takes to make me and my hair look incredible. The proof is in the compliments I get. I can't say enough great things about her and I highly recommend her. If you are trying to find that person that can color and cut your hair perfectly, then look no further. The reviews I read were spot on, she is truly gifted! She is also honest about what she can do for you. The key is that you have to listen and trust her. She knows what will and will not work. The only advice I give to anyone going to her is; don't ask for the impossible! Ask Kathryn if it can work and she will tell you. Be patient about your color/cut if you have been a victim of someone else's bad work, she can work wonders and some miracles, but only for those that take her advice to heart. I am so lucky to have quickly found an awesome and gifted person so close to where I live. I don't know what I would do without her! Thank you Kathryn, for the continued awesome cuts and colors as well as lending the occasional ear. :) You are truly the best! read more

Kathryn's Salon - My awesome highlights and cut! - Hair Salons Near Me

I am very picky when it comes to my hair. I decided to try Kathryn after reading reviews on yelp from people who were more that satisfied. I got a cut with hi and lo lights. She was able to match my color perfectly and she gave great advice on what would/wouldn't look good with my face shape. She has great technique and is very knowledgable. Kathryn is very friendly and her salon was clean and organized. I went in with long hair (past the middle of my back) and it took about two hours for everything. Her prices are fair and you really will leave happy with your hair. Her haircuts are also guaranteed for one week. I would highly recommend her. read more

Kathryn was great. I was running a little late for my appointment due to car trouble but she was very understanding. As a new client she took the time to talk with me about what I wanted short term and long term for my hair which I've never had anyone ask me before! She offered some great insight and confirmed with me twice about how much length I wanted to cut off (my hair was pretty long). She listened to my concerns and was helpful in choosing the right cut. We also discussed highlights and how to help my hair become more healthy and light. Not only does she have great skills but also she's a great person to talk with (though it was difficult when it came time for blow-drying my hair because it was hard to hear). Her prices were affordable and she accepts credit/debit cards. Overall, she's great and I recommend her services to everyone. read more

Just moved to Texas so I called to make appointment twice. I was told to send her a text because she was with another customer. So I did. Never return my call or text twice. read more

Love love love Kathryn! I first came in to get my orange/yellow nightmare of hair color corrected and obviously was really apprehensive since my previous experience at a "high end" salon went HORRIBLY! Kathryn eased my mind and let me know that she would do pretty much everything she could do fix my hair. 2 hours later I have blonde hair!!!! I almost wanted to cry from excitement because I loved my hair so much! Ladies if you want someone with experience and who WILL NOT let you leave the salon until you are looking fabulous AND until you get what YOU want, then Kathryn is the person to go to! I can't give her enough praise for fixing my horrible brassy hair. I give her 10 out of 5 stars! Lol read more

Pro: nice hairdresser and liked my 1/2 head highlights. Con: charged double what she quoted over the phone. Would usually be fine if she had let me know price changed upon seeing my hair in person rather then me seeing the total upon paying. read more

After being frustrated with my previous hair beautician that had been using for a couple of years, Igoogled hair color professionals and that is where I found Kathryn. She is awesome!!! She has been doing my hair for over 6 yrs now. There's no way I would let anyone else touch my hair. She's always professional and makes my hair look beautiful every time I leave the salon. I would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone. read more

I was looking for a good hairdresser in my area and came across Kathryn's name on the internet. She had good reviews so I decided to take a chance and schedule an appointment to see her. I schedule my appointment online and even got a reminder email the day prior to my appointment. I went on my scheduled appointment date and time and was told by another stylist that Kathryn was out that day and was out of the country. This is very unprofessional. I do not know the circumstances but I would think that if you are not taking appointments for a certain day or time then your scheduler should be blocked off. I believe in giving others a second chance and would if I would have been contacted to say a mistake was made. I not only looked forward to meeting Kathryn and had also taken a day off for my work schedule to do so. I was very disappointed. read more

All the reviews here are so true! I went to Kathryn after a similar experience to other people here. I asked for blonde and got brassy and way over paid for this horrible look. Thank god i found Kathryn after reading other positive reviews. After just one visit I felt so much better! I finally felt like me again! Not only does she makes me feel beautiful with her excellent skill and hard work but she has also become a good friend who is a great listener and just fun to talk to! Thanks Kathryn for everything you have done for me! You are amazing! You are changing the world one beautiful hairdo at a time!! read more

YES! YES! YES! I had the best experience with Kathryn. I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted, but she talked me through some things and we made a decision. She did an amazing job! The entire time she was chatting about what she was doing and how I would have to style it (specifically training my bangs to do what I want..haha). She made the environment very comfortable and unlike anything I've experienced before in a salon. I love her and will definitely be back!! read more

I have VERY long and thick hair and it's the one thing I take a lot of pride in so I've always gone to very high end salons for my coloring and cuts, well after my last colorist left I tried Kathryn's salon and I've been hooked ever since! She does the BEST coloring I have ever had and really knows what I want. I love to change my mind and colors (I currently have it multi colored) and she always understands what I want and guides me to the best treatments. She really knows hair and loves what she does and it shows. I always walk out feeling amazing and get so many compliments on my hair! Plus, what I love about her salon versus the big chains is that I'm seen by just her the whole time. I hated going to my old salon and seeing my colorist, then someone else for a cut, someone else for a wash, and someone else for a blow dry. It was exhausting. At her Salon she does it all and is so pleasant and easy to talk to! And she never pushes products like the other places and even let's me try out product on my hair to see how I like it for next time. I'm a customer for life now! :-) read more

Kathryn's Salon - Thank you! - Hair Salons Near Me

We moved to Sugar Land several months ago and I tried five different stylists before finding Kathryn. She gave me the best haircut I have had in a long time. She's very talented and knows her craft. read more

Love love love Kathryn! When I moved to Houston/Sugar Land area a few years ago I searched and searched for a hair salon. I found Kathryn on Yelp, she had wonderful reviews, and so I made an appointment. She is awesome! I am super cautious about cutting my hair or who cuts it. I usually wear it long, only get it trimmed and re-layered twice a year, and usually pretty low key on styling it. I decided I wanted to chop it off short for the summer, but was super nervous about doing so. I took pictures I found online and showed her and told her my worries about cutting it off so short and I've always had long hair. She helped me feel comfortable with a length without going as dramatic/short as my pictures were, and told me if after a few day I decided I could handle going shorter to come back and she would shorten it. I returned agin this summer for another short hair style and did so without hesitation. Kathryn is so friendly, has made me feel confident in trying shorter styles, given/showed me easy tips on styling, and even though I only see her a couple of times a year she always remembers me. Since moving to Houston she is the only person who I have let touch/cut my hair and will continue to be. read more

Kathryn's Salon - Love my new hair! Thank you Kathryn for getting me in on such short notice! - Hair Salons Near Me

She fixed my hair after a bad bad bad haircut and was totally honest that it wouldn't all be corrected in a single visit. Kathryn's also great with color and its difficult to find a stylist that can do both. read more

Kathryn is AMAZING! I have been going to her for many years for highlights and cuts. She is very skilled and an expert with color. I trust her completely with my hair. She takes her time and pays attention to detail. She always listens to what I want at each visit and she offers ways to attain that look while maintaining the integrity of my hair. She makes me feel welcome and relaxed. Thank you so much for making me feel like a million bucks at each visit! read more

I recently relocated to the Sugar Land area and needed a new hairstylist. I have been going to the same stylist for over 10 years and so as you can manage it was a little scary to have to find a new stylist. Kathryn is the BEST! She is friendly and sweet. I had my formula/brand for my hair color from my previous stylist and she was generous enough to use my formula and the brand (even though she does not use that specific product) so I can keep the same color! She will be my new stylist!! Thanks Kathryn. read more

Kathryn ruined my hair. I liked my initial cut a lot, but ask for a few more layers in crown area ONLY. Came away looking like a chopped up shag from the 70's. She then tried to blame me for poor communication. Don't feel like she listened to what I was asking. Will take a year for this to grow out. I wanted to cry when I left, Would not recommend. read more

I have been going to Kathryn for years and she still amazes me with her masterful cuts. Her color services are a true art. She is always on time with appointments and very professional. Thanks Kathryn for you're a true artist and make me look like a masterpiece. I highly recommend all her salon services. read more

I love my cut and color!!! I always forget how much of a perfectionist Kathryn is. Her attention to detail is amazing. She does fantastic work, I won't go to anyone else. She listens to what I want and makes professional suggestions but I usually am stubborn. She doesn't push me and delivers what I want. My hair always looks so shinny and hydrated when I step out of her chair. I'm very happy there :) read more

Kathryn's Salon - Hair Salons Near Me

I'm always a nervous wreck when it comes to getting my hair cut and it did not help that I decided to try somewhere new on a whim last Saturday. What if she cuts it too short? What if it comes out too thick? What if I end up looking too ugly for my dinner date tonight? But 10 minutes into my appointment, I was asking Kathryn to "do what you think would be best" like I had known her for years. Kathryn is incredibly personable, attentive, and clearly skilled at what she does. She explained each step as she was cutting throughout the process to ease my mind and the end result was better than I ever expected. All her cuts go for $50 which is on the pricier end, but completely worth it for her experience & professionalism. Plus, all her work is guaranteed for one week after your visit! read more

Kathryn is an awesome stylist! She managed to fix my botched, uneven haircut without cutting off all my hair, which is what I fully expected to happen when I made an appointment for the correction. She's very personable and super nice! Her studio is located in a larger, office-like building, each with it's own private suite, so it made for a quiet, comfy, personal experience versus going to a loud, crowded salon. She made some great product recommendations, but was not at all pushy about what I should or shouldn't buy. I plan to book all of my hair appointments with her in the future! read more

I usually do my own coloring because stylists scare me but Kathryn was wonderful and I'll be retiring from doing it myself after the fabulous job she did! My hair has never felt so healthy and wonderful. She's also such a sweetheart so it makes the appointment that much more enjoyable! I will absolutely refer everyone here! read more

She loves what she does and takes her job very seriously. I don't like stylists who just do what their client wants. She uses her schooling and your best interest to provide a great style. Awesome at color and cuts. Highly recommend! read more

I cant give more stars or i would. A professional in all ways. Kathryn was pleasant and gave great advice. She made time for me right away, though it was my first visit. Reasonably priced and good at her profession. Win win. Thank you Kathryn. read more

I am done searching for the perfect hairdresser! I absolutely love Kathryn! Since moving to Texas (5 years ago) I've had several haircuts from different places never wanting to go back for one reason or another. I had a girl in California that I could just tell her what styles I liked and my main routine and she knew how to give me a cut that looked great on me. Well I found my new girl in Texas! I showed her a few pictures and told her generally I wanted layers and after asking me my hair routine and knowing my hair type I gave her a little freedom to do what she thought would look good on me. I can not rave enough about her, I love my haircut!! She was so genuine and easy to talk to, we chatted the entire time talking about our families, it felt like talking to an old friend. If you're reading this Kathryn, thank you so much! read more

After moving to Texas 3 years ago I have had a few underwhelming haircuts. I have super thick hair and no One seems to know how to handle it. I went to Kathryn based on Yelp reviews and I couldn't be happier. I was so nervous because I cut off about 12inches to make a donation and my hair is shorter than it's ever been which Im getting used to but the cut is perfect. Finally I found someone who can handle my super (super) thick hair. I'll be back! read more

I tried booking an appointment in this salon 3 or 4 times, twice I called and left the message asking to call me back and once or twice I sent a text message. Neither of the times did I receive a call back.
