My visit went down hill from there. I entered the store with a goal of finding an ornament that I have been looking for since the beginning of December. I was searching the discounted ornament section and a customer service rep was standing right near me. Not once did she acknowledge my presence. However, a older gentleman approached the area and she happily greeted him. Same experience upon exiting the store. Another customer service worker spoke to my friend and said no words to me. I have many questions about my interactions today at this location. My overall takeaway is that this location does not display equitable customer service to ALL of their customers. The best part was the house cat, Monkey, who greeted customers and made sure everyone was happy with the service. The second best part is that they have lots of events, including author signings, book clubs, and crafts. There is something for everyone here, including activities you won't find at other stores. I was contacted that night to be told that they did in fact have hair dye and Ty, the stylist, did…read morenot want to do my hair that night and used not having hair dye as an excuse for me to leave. Which I find laughable because Catherine (owners wife) told me to take what happened with a "grain of salt" because she was not there and dismissed my feelings and sided with her employee. After mentioning that I will not be returning and I left my opinion of the salon online, I was shortly contacted by the owner Chris (Catherine's husband) to be told that she was crying and very upset about the review. Chris made multiple attempts for me to be satisfied and to take my reviews down. He has contacted me every day since about my reviews. I went to the salon the very next morning to have my hair done by Sarah and I received a free hair mask. I do wish that I was able to get my hair cut & styled but Sarah was running too far behind. I absolutely appreciate Sarah's help. She made my experience enjoyable, Chris did too. I wish in the beginning that they didn't make so many excuses for how I was treated by Ty but there is nothing I can do about that. I'm not sure what I did to her but I will absolutely recommend having your hair done by Sarah instead.
