Costumer service. The assistant manager with gages in her ears refused to help me get measurement of a washer and dryer so I could make sure it would fit where I needed it. I informed her that, that was unacceptable and that they lost a $1,800.00 sell. So I went to to Home Depot in Fayetteville and my new washer and dryer will be delivered next Friday. I have decided to not shop at Lowe's in Sanford, NC again and I plan to inform my friends and family of my experience. read more

If I could give zero stars I would have. We decided to go through Lowe's to replace a pedestal sink with a vanity. They sent someone out to measure and we're supposed to call us to follow up and no one did. After reaching out several times and not speaking to anyone that could help they said they never got the measurements. We were helped in store to purchase the vanity and told to call to get installation. Well no one answers, returns calls or emails and then we reached out to the main customer service line where they sent them out again to measure. Not to mention we had to pay twice for measurements. 2 weeks later after the second measurements, several phone calls, conversation with a "manager" we were told the only way to add installation because it was past 30 days due to no fault of our own but because they dropped the ball twice, was to return the vanity and repurchase it. We were told someone would call us to go directly through the contractor and here we are still no call. This is the absolute worst customer service. I will never try and go thorough Lowe's for any future needs. Everyone we spoke to were beyond rude and would rather just transfer our call rather then listen to us. I would give 0 stars if I could. Went to the store looking for wallpaper, refrigerator air & water filters and 2 ceiling fans. First...the call for help buttons do not work. Second, I finally found someone to inquire about wall paper and I was sent to "maybe home decor" I asked for someone who works in the area, the guy said he didn't know. I asked if he could look in the system, he said he did and gave me 2 possible areas. I asked if he could check...he said he was assigned to a specific area that he really didn't work in so he couldn't...definitely will not be back. Everything! Me and my husband came in and bought almost $5000 worth of appliances. Stove, fridge, microwave and dishwasher. We've spent a lot more over the last 3 years as well on washer and dryer, lawn equipment. And we're planning on getting a grill, counters for kitchen, and more. So this latest purchase we paid extra for warranties, and delivery and insulation. Delivery day they bring fridge with a huge dent in the freezer area and stove with right side almost completely off and tried to talk us into keeping them for a discount. NO! We paid for new stuff not Dave's discount give and dime. Corporate said they'd redeliver that Friday. Uggh. We had taken out food and lost a bunch due to our old fridge not working properly (hence wanting to replace it). They said to call them after delivery and they'd mane it right. Friday they come back and bring us the wrong stove. Had to go back to whomever they dropped it off to and get it and bring it back as they brought us theirs. Had to wait 2 more weeks for microwave and dishwasher. Corporate gave us a measley $50 gift card. For where? For Lowes! To only be used at Lowes so that they don't lose out on any money. BAD BAD BUSINESS AND CUSTOMER SERVICE! As much money as we've spent we should have been treated better but you treated us like hobos on the street. NEVER again will be purchase another appliance from them. They go through 3rd party shipping and no one wants to take blame for anything. Companies! Take some advice. Don't trust the flooring section, they are friendly and helpful until they receive payment, after that I was forgotten about. Promised a $300 rebate after a couple weeks, I waited 6-weeks then started calling just to find out Bart never submitted it, before payment he was quick to call and reply to emails. Now can't get him to reply to anything, during the flooring project I had to coordinate everything myself. Ball was dropped many many times, I had to call the store, the Lowes project team, Lecacy flooring (Lowes contractor) and the laborers who were going to do the work. I'm happy to have them nearby for all my home projects. They aren't the best Lowe's I've ever been to but they usually have what I need and most of the time their customer service representative have been helpful getting hard to reach items that require a forklift. They have a large selection of items. Yes, their inventory is usually quite a bit off from the app or online but with so much variety I'm usually able to find what I need. read more

When we approached the customer service counter, the employee was on the phone with a customer, so my husband and I patiently waited at a respectable distance. After waiting for some time, she, in a very unfriendly way, asked us if we needed something. She seemed irritated that we were there and did not change her demeanor throughout our transaction. She even badmouthed other employees because they did not ring up our battery before sending us to her to get a refund for the core charge. It only took a few seconds for us to pay for it, so I do not understand what the big issue was other than her not wanting to do her job. At the end of our transaction, we thanked her and told her to have a good evening. She didn't even respond. Maybe she was having a bad day, which is understandable, but, being an adult means that sometimes you have to pull it together especially when working with customers. I wish I could give no stars! First off, getting anyone to answer the phone is impossible. They also do not refund money when they say they will for promotion prices after overcharging on appliances. Upon delivery they delivered a broken washer that had cracks in the washer door. I had drive to Lowes to speak to someone since no one would answer the phone after 1 hour waiting. I was told i can PAY FOR A NEW WASHER then get refunded once it's delivered and replaced. I refused then they suddenly were able to schedule a new washer to be delivered. But the major issue is finding out their delivery team does not know how to install dryers!! Please please beware of letting them install a major appliance. My new dryer caught on fire!!!!! After having the manufacturer come out an assess damage today they said the power supply cord was installed incorrectly which caused it to catch fire to a new dryer purchased 1 month ago. This store could definitely stand some attention from upper management in the Lowe's corporation. I've never been so compelled to write a poor review in my life, but I figured this would help someone in the future. Called Lowe's main line to order a dishwasher on October 17, 2018 because it was on-sale and I needed installation. They put me through to the Sanford store for the purchase. They said it was arriving from another state so to expect to hear from installation in about 2 weeks. After two weeks, I heard nothing. So I called the main Lowe's line (from their website). I was told that the dishwasher had been sitting at the Sanford Lowe's location for almost 4 days, but I'd hear from installation within 3 days. After three days, I heard nothing. So I called the main Lowe's line again to explain everything. I asked to speak to the Sanford manager, so the customer service rep put me through. She said that their computer system was rebooted or down (or something?) and installation didn't know to contact me. I finally heard from installation a couple days later to schedule the install. The installation contractor was super helpful and courteous. Upon removing the old dishwasher and then opening the new one, he said he didn't feel comfortable installing it since it was dented. I took a look myself and, sure enough, there were multiple dents on the front. The installer returned that one to the Sanford Lowe's, and then called me less than an hour later to say that they were ordering me one (expedited) from another local store. He said I'd hear from him to reschedule installation within 3-7 days. After 7 days, I heard nothing (again). I called corporate customer service and the representative called the manager of the Sanford Lowe's to check on what the deal was. Turns out IT WAS NEVER ORDERED. At this point, my patience was wearing thin and I asked to speak to the manager there again. She told me that she's not even sure who the installer talked to because there was no record of that conversation, nor record of the reorder (duh). She told me that she'd reorder the dishwasher from another store (which should have already been done), and I'd get a call from the installer (again) in about a week. After that call, because I was so frustrated with the lack of communication from anyone, I decided to file a complaint with corporate. I called back and explained the entire situation again. I should have just asked for a refund then, but no, I was still being fairly patient, mainly since I'd gotten a good deal on the dishwasher and we were now this far gone. I figured I could wait another week. When a complaint is filed, the managers at the local store are given 24 hours to respond to you, but as this was Thanksgiving weekend, they said to give 72 hours. So now it's actually 96 hours later and I still haven't heard anything. Although it's a Sunday, I decided to call corporate again today to figure out what's been going on, as well as finding out whether or not the dishwasher had indeed been ordered this time. After being on hold for 33+ minutes, and talking to two different people, one person finally got a hold of the store manager at the Sanford Lowe's to get my questions answered. You shouldn't be shocked, but guess what? My dishwasher HADN'T even been ordered AGAIN (I'd shout some expletives in caps here but that would be inappropriate). When I was finally back on the line with the customer service representative, I told her I just wanted a refund. She got back on the line to tell the manager at the Sanford Lowe's that I wanted a refund and that he'd contact me as soon as that refund was completed. I'm currently stressed out that that won't be done because Lowe's hasn't done anything that they said they'd do, from corporate down to the local store. From now on, I will make a point to tell people not to do business with Lowe's, as they obviously don't seem to care one bit about their customers or basic service. Why would they? It's a big box store with millions of customers. Home Depot and small, local, "mom and pop" stores now have my business. Update: They still hadn't reordered the dishwasher despite the 3 times they said they would. It's now December 4 and no one has called to say it's arrived. They did give me an additional 10% off, though. Corporate called me today to follow up, and they're calling the Sanford Lowe's now (I ordered this on October 17). read more

I visited Lowes in Sanford on Saturday (February 5, 2022) to purchase supplies for my floor remodel. I went to the flooring department and met with a salesman, Bart. We looked at the choices, I provided measurements for the project and he created a ticket for the pricing. He told me the amount and said that I should go buy the backer boards and grout and then come back to purchase the tiles. He said that he would have everything pulled when I returned. I thought this was great. So I go to find the backerboards and grout. I needed 31 backer boards and six, 25lb bags of grout. I found the boards but the store only has 3 bags of grout in the color I needed. This is surprising, considering the website for the Sanford Lowes showed seven bags available. So I find a salesman in that area and they assist with looking for the grout the website says is available. After quite some time, it's determined they just don't have any more. After purchasing the backer boards and 3 bags of grout, I go back to find Bart to purchase the tiles. When I get to the flooring department, he isn't there. The salesman there calls Bart - no answer. After waiting over 30 minutes, he comes back with another customer in tow. When he finishes with the customer, he turns to me and says "so what are we doing?" I was shocked! He's the one that told me to come back after purchasing the other times. He acted like he never spoke to me, never told me to return. I told him that I was back as instructed to purchase the tiles that he said would be pulled and ready. Those tiles were not pulled and definitely not ready. Add to that, the ticket that he created with the pricing? Gone. Why did he get rid of the ticket?! Now I had to wait for him to redo the ticket and get someone to help pull the boxes of tiles (175 pieces). This visit to Sanford Lowes exceeded 4hours. When I left, I still didn't have all the supplies needed. My girlfriend found the item at the Lowes in Pittsboro. We drove there and the experience was a million times better. The store was well stocked, well staffed and the customer service was exemplary. Of special note is the level of customer service I received from Tony in flooring/appliances. He was personable, friendly and offered additional information not provided by Bart at the Sanford Lowes. Why did this happen? Why was the ticket destroyed at the Sanford Lowes? Why weren't the tiles pulled and ready? Was it racially motivated? Did he see a black man and think he's not coming back...he can't afford it anyway? I am a retired, disabled Veteran. I fough for this country and to come back and deal with racial profiling and racially motivated incidents like this is beyond upsetting. I spent 9000 on a refrigerator dishwasher and stove in June. The kitchen aide refrigerator did not have the handles. It was also damaged and the delivery person promised a 20% discount if we accepted it. We were afraid we would never get another refrigerator so we kept it. We got no discount. The dishwasher isn't working properly from the start. We bought inline and have had zero support from the management. The ordered an entire new refrigerator to get the handles and it's now been 5 months and nothing. No handles no refund no service. I cannot believe the way we have been treated. A young man did finally see us and asked if we needed help. We had picked four different models we would have been happy with. He checked and they didn't have any of them. He was very helpful, checking if any of them were in either the Fayetteville or the Erwin store. Nope. We drove a little farther into Sanford and got a really great deal on a frig at the Sears Home Store. They were amazing. This is the worst Lowe's I've ever been to. I went in looking for a roomba. I go to the back and collect my tag and take it up to the register for purchase. A manager comes over to help and looks the item up online and item look up revealed that there were 3 of them in the store. The manager told an associate to get up on the ladder and look at the items on the back shelf. I watched not but three people not follow directions and do everything in their power to not get on the ladder and look. Then, they came to us saying they didn't have the item we wanted in stock and on the screen they showed us, it was a completely different item. We told them that was not the item we were looking for and they kept insisting they didn't have it. Laziest bunch of workers I've ever watched. At the very least they could've acted like they were following directions but to blatantly ignore in front of the customers was extremely displeasing. Absolutely recommend this store if you are looking for the following things: - waiting over 30 minutes for assistance. - being advised on projects by someone who clearly has no idea what they are talking about. - not receiving communication on project estimates in a timely manner (as in not at all) - being told you will get a callback after following up on an estimate and never receiving said callback - educating store employees on current specials by literally reading the sign next to them out loud then being told that they don't know if that's being offered. (...what?) In the end, we ended up going with an actual flooring place and paid for the carpet and labor....pssst: it still came out cheaper than what Lowes was offering (free labor). Yeah had a hard time wrapping my head around that one. This Lowe's in Sanford is extremely poorly operated and it's very difficult to find help. i wanted to purchase a storm door. We had the installer out to do measurements. Next was to go in to order the door. We started this process at the Erwin, NC store, everything went incredibly smoothly there. But because I was in Sanford, NC today I decided to stop in the Sanford Lowe's to order the storm door for installment. First I wasn't able to find someone to help me so I went to customer service to ask for help purchasing the door. She said you need to go back to that area and I'll send someone to help you. So I went there and waited and waited. No one ever came. I finally saw a young man helping someone else and asked if he could help me purchase a storm door. Daniel was helpful and able to put all the information into the computer so that my storm door was ordered. He said give them your phone number at the checkout and you can pay there and get your receipt. So I went to checkout and I gave him the phone number. He said nothing is showing up. He said you may need to wait a bit for the info to get to the front. So I waited. Then I went to customer service and waited again for a rep. She wasn't able to find it with my phone number either. So I went out to my car and waited. Came back in to pay for the door order and Jenny from customer service said it's not showing up at all. So I then headed back to the door area looking for Daniel, the employee that initially took the order. He was no where to be found. No one was around. I even called on my phone multiple times to the door area in the store and my phone call was never responded to either. I went back to the checkout and asked Kayla if she could put my phone number in to see if my invoice was showing up. She said "NO" . I said maybe it will show on your register. She again said no rather angrily and with attitude and said you have to go to customer service. Kayla was awful, she needs to be caring for plants not people! I asked for Her name and headed to customer service again. There I spoke again with Jenny. Jenny couldn't figure it out. Mind you I just wanted to pay for my door and go. Then the manager, I'm guessing, Leilani, came out of her office to assist. She wasn't able to find the invoice. I told her Daniel took my order but I haven't been able to track him down anywhere. They tried at customer service and couldn't find him either. So it's then that I asked for the return of my initial fee, that I put down to have the door measured Because I no longer felt like this was a professional transaction. And they said because you didn't start this transaction at our store you'll have to head to the Erwin store to get the refund. I said but that's quite a ways away and the only reason I'm in this circumstance is because your store can't find the invoice. So the manager came back out they tried to figure it out and they said I could call the Erwin store and they could refund it that way. So I called the Erwin store and Maria said they wouldn't be able to do that. I explained it to her and she was able to find the invoice and gave me the invoice number, the item number etc. she said take that to customer service and they will be able to refund it. If they can't, have them call me. So I go back in and hand them this info. At that point Daniel ( the guy who initially helped me) is there and said oh your order was in the old computer system not the new one thats why they weren't able to find it. LIKE WHAT???? How am I supposed to know where it was. It was only then that again the manager came back out and initiated the refund. They first said they weren't going to because the door had already been measured. I said I know but I just wanted to pay for my door and leave but you all couldn't find the invoice so I could pay and you couldn't find your employee that made this invoice. At this point I had been there 2 hours trying to settle this. I finally got my measurement refund and will never return to this Lowes again. I can only say herding cats would have been easier than trying to purchase a storm door from this Lowe's. Save yourself high blood pressure and go elsewhere!!! read more
