Online bookings are available, direct billing of a number of extended health insurance companies is possible, and the massage therapy rooms are extremely clean. The receptionists have always helpful and willing to spend the necessary time to answer my questions. I am very happy with the therapist who is working with me, and the quality of her work is evident after each visit. My mobility increases dramatically, and I am always anxious to book future appointments with her. Now I'm a "regular" patient at the clinic, I've found it easier to book appointments with the receptionist as they make an effort to accommodate your appointment requests. If you're in need of a registered massage therapist, I can highly recommend Knead.

Almost 4 weeks ago I was stricken with a bad case of vertigo. Having experienced it before I did…read morenot hesitate to get into see someone skilled in dealing with it. After a short search online I decided on seeing Bella Star at Advanced Health and Sports Clinic based on numerous 5 star reviews. This 5 star review can be added to that list as well. Beyond her wonderful, kind and warm personality was an array of knowledge, skill and professionalism. She quickly deduced that I had cervical vertigo which is related to neck trauma and not the other type of vertigo, which is related to the crystals in the ears being out of position. I had recently performed working tasks which compromised the neck area and then exacerbated my neck issues with an aggressive, rapid head movement in my sleep. A 1 hour appointment ,which included a thorough historical medical assessment as well as physical manipulation of the neck area was followed up with 2 - 30 minute appointments over a 16 day period. She provided me with an email outlining a number of self help exercises and suggestions to correct the vertigo episodes, dizziness and balance issues. As a result I am now vertigo free and with the bounty of reference material provided by her well on my way to regulating it in the future. I would highly recommend her should you need help with relief and recovery from vertigo or similar skeletal issues. Furthermore the front end receptionist Alex was a very upbeat, friendly and efficient colleague of Bella's making the visit even more positive. Thank you Advanced Health and Sports Clinic, conveniently situated right across the street from McDonalds in Parksville. Sincerely, Bill Flower

I have had this back pain for a few years and finally decided to try a chiropractor…read more A friend of mine told about her and sounded good. So I made an appointment. She was so much more than just a chiropractor I imagined. Well, I have never been to chiropractor, so I thought she will just push, pull, twist to fix whatever problems I have. She asked me so many questions I normally expect from a physician. She really wants to understand where your problems are coming from. Anyway, I love her idea of trying to address issues without using medications. Medications only covers up a problem, not fix it. After my first treatment, my spine immediately felt better. I no longer feel pain when I breathe deeply to stretch my spine. I made my second appointment also since it sounds like she can address other problems I am having... Oh, she explained what she was doing during the treatment, which was nice. I highly recommend her.
