Called Kathleen Hinek about taking over my multitude of Farmer's policies and she hung up on me saying "I'm Good". Horrible customer service. Clearly she was not at all interested in taking on new business. read more

Honesty is the BEST policy!!! We asked Kathleen if she would review our current Auto Insurance Policy (we have 4 vehicles!!) after my husband and I got married last year to see where we stand with the current company we use and see if we could possibly get better rates. What I expected: A pitch to change our auto insurance to Farmers What I received: "You are in a good position with your current policy as far as coverage and premium goes." Ummmm what?!?!? I decided to review because I don't know about you, but when you get such a refeshing honest answer when you are expecting the complete opposite it makes you feel like maybe just maaaaaaybe there are still good honest people out there that you can count on. So we kept our current Auto policy and worked with Kathleen for Renters Insurance. If you do not have Renters Insurance, please contact her. We never had it before and it's really something all renters should have. read more

We have had a relationship with Kathleen through our insurance needs for many years. She has always gone out of her way to insure a seamless experience whether it be for our home or auto. We do not hesitate to recommend her to anyone searching for the perfect, knowledgeable insurance agent. She is the best of the best! read more

Kathleen is the best insurance agent I have ever worked with, hands down! Kathleen is very involved, responsive and most of all she cares for her clients and makes you feel cared for and taken care of. She makes it easy to get what you need when you need it; you can call, text or email her and sh will always respond quickly with all the information you will need. When I needed proof of insurance for my HOA I emailed Kathleen and she not only answered my questions; but she also had the document emailed to me in less than an hour. Recently I was in a car accident in which I was hit by another driver. I called Kathleen right away and she was on it! By that afternoon she had filed a claim with Farmers for me so that I could deal with going to the doctor etc. Kathleen continued to follow up and when the person who had hit me failed to call in a claim with their own insurance Kathleen did so herself. When that third party insurance was dragging their feet and it was weeks without them following up or making any progress Kathleen went to bat for me by not only calling that insurance, but also by calling the third party herself. She basically did the job of the other insurance agency for them, just so that I could have peace of mind and get the claim taken care of. No matter what you need, big or small, Kathleen will always help you and support you. It is nice to know that you will always have someone on your side with your best interest at heart. I have worked with many insurance agents personally and professionally and I can tell you that Kathleen offers service like nobody else. You will be in the best of hands with her as your agent! read more

I finally found the perfect insurance agent in Kathleen, and was so sad I couldn't take her with me when we moved out of state recently. We had all our insurance needs met with Kathleen/Farmer's for several years, and when I ever had any questions or issues to be resolved involving insurance, Kathleen was very prompt, insightful, and accurate in providing me with the information I needed to make a decision. She always seemed to remember where our last conversation left off, and I highly recommend her if you are looking for someone to help you through the hurdles of insuring your vehicles, homes, belongings, and other liability, as well as be on your side when problems arise. read more

Kathleen Hinek is simply the BEST insurance agent on the planet! I have been insured through her for almost 2 years. Up until today, I have never filed a claim but I was in an accident and had to file something today. I emailed her first to get some advice on how to proceed. She responded very quickly (as she always does) and not only did she give me good advice, she also threw in a few words of comfort. The insurance business is funny like that. You don't really know how good your insurance is until you have a claim. We have all our policy's with her; cars, motorcycle and auto. I wouldn't go anywhere else - the rates are low and the service is superb! read more

I recently switched my insurance to Farmers and the Hart-Hinek agency. Best decision ever! Kathleen offers service that makes me feel like family. She is easy to get in contact with and answers any questions I have promptly. I highly recommend the Hart-Hinek insurance agency. read more

We selected Hart-Hinek as our Farmers agency when we moved to Pleasanton in 2012. We really put them to the test when we had severe smoke damage to our house, and with all the hassle that went along with handling the cleanup, the one thing we didn't have to worry about was coverage. They handled everything quickly and professionally, and there were no questions about coverage. Not long before the fire, my husband suggested we shop around to see if we could save money with another agency. Based on our experience with Kathleen, I convinced him that we're sticking with Farmers, and with Hart-Hinek. read more

Finally found a KEEPER insurance agent! No matter where my agent is, she always is accessible for any of your insurance needs or questions regarding your vehicle. I cannot give her a high enough star rating. She is the most honest insurance agent also! If she can't beat your current insurance costs, she will down right let you know! But if she can, she is worth changing to. Probably worth changing to even if she can't beat your insurance elsewhere! Beyond amazing! read more

We have been with Kathleen for years. She has always been proactive in keeping up with our growing and then contracting family as the kids became drivers and then became adults. We love her for this and are so happy that she stays on top of it. But then-I got in a bit of a fender and needed to use my insurance. Kathleen hung up a call to take my "emergency"call. Called me right back, told me what to do, had a body shop on call, told me which tow service to use and was still at 8:58pm that night texting me with follow up. When the other party came up with a suspect witness, Kathleen worked her tail off to reconstruct the accident, even looked for cameras that may have recorded it. She went way above and beyond. It was such a great feeling to have someone on my side! If Kathleen Hart Hinek is not your agent, you are totally missing out! You gotta have Kathleen Hart-Hinek read more

My family switched over to Farmers Insurance with Hart-Hinek Insurance about a year ago and am soooo pleased! The service is phenomenal. I work directly with Kathleen and she is super prompt at getting back to me when I have questions. My husband recently had his work car broken into and all of his tools were stolen. I contacted Kathleen and she had everything sorted and had my husband on the phone with the right people that day. It was fabulous. It is so great to have a single contact person that is on our side! Love love her and would recommend her in a heartbeat! read more

I rank Kathleen Hart-Hinek as the most knowledgeable insurance agent I have had. She has a background in claims adjustments, so she is not only an Insurance Agent, but knows how to navigate your claim rapidly. I have known her for over 15 years personally and highly recommend her. read more

I am writing this on behalf of and at the request of my friend Suzy. Kathleen has been extremely helpful to Suzy and has personalized her service to better help Suzy. Kathleen often comes to Suzy's home, phones with progress reports, and even has accompanied her to Oakland to help clear up a problem caused by a mistaken police report. Kathleen has helped Suzy after a home burglary and a car crash. Another driver fell asleep at the wheel and totaled Suzy's car. Kathleen helped with all the usual claims paperwork and even negotiated a great financial settlement! I have never seen better, more competent service! read more

Our family changed to the Hart-Hinek Insurance Agency several years ago after having an insurance policy review with Kathleen. Kathleen is a good translator of "insurance-speak" to "regular person-speak" and is always available for questions and concerns. About a year ago my car broke down, and I needed to use the Farmer's emergency roadside assistance. Not only was that service very easy to use, it generated an automatic alert to Kathleen. Within minutes of my calling the roadside assistance, I had a call from Kathleen to see if we were OK. I was impressed by the personalized responsive approach. This spring my car was damaged in a parking lot, and even though I was not making a claim through Farmers, Kathleen coached me through the process of how to work with the other driver's insurance. Helped me understand the claims process so that I could push the other driver to take action. Professional, honest, caring, effective. Definitely give Kathleen a call! read more

My husband and I had all of our insurance policies through State Farm for several years and in the last year switched over to Farmers and the Hart-Hinek agency. What a great decision that was! We not only obtained better coverage but we are actually saving money. We recently had a fire in our outdoor kitchen area. This happened at 3:00 in the morning. Kathleen was at our door by 12:00 noon that same day to support us, helping us every step of the way with our claim, making this unfortunate and traumatic situation more bearable. I call that top notch service!!! We now know the importance of having a knowledgeable, trust-worthy, and caring agent working for you...and that agent is Kathleen Hinek! read more

I wholeheartedly endorse Kathleen. I've known her and her family going back to the late 1960s and better people you will not find. Aside from the personal ethics, Kathleen's business ethics are beyond reproach. We started out in the insurance industry together in the same claims office in 1988. Working in claims is a difficult "row to hoe", it's where the "rubber meets the road"; it's also where you truly learn what is covered and what isn't covered and the pitfalls of incorrect coverage. Kathleen knows how to avoid those pitfalls. She knows that it is "adequate" insurance that is needed(kinda like Goldilocks searching for the right porridge; not too hot, not too cold -just right) I was proud to be her and her family's insurance agent for many years and am very happy that after many years of my encouraging her to become an agent she did. I wish her continued success as she builds her agency and I have one last thing to say: Rely on Kathleen for your insurance needs. The first rule in insurance is to pick the right agent, the second rule is to make sure it's with a good company(Farmers is a GREAT company) and lastly, you want to pay a fair price for the needed coverage. You will accomplish all three of these with Kathleen. read more

We had always gone through my mother in law for our insurance needs so we never had to worry if we were getting a good deal or not...she was always looking out for us. Then she was diagnosed with cancer and had to stop working. So when our policy was up I asked Kathleen for a quote. She bundled our auto & renters insurance and got us a great deal...AND she made us feel like family, not just a customer. She genuinely cares about what's best for you & your family. She's "Johnny on the spot" in responding to requests. I pass along her info to anyone that mentions they're in the market for insurance. If you give her a try, you'll see what I mean!! read more

Her motto:Get it done now! Kathleen is an outstanding agent. Regardless of what time or day it is, she takes quick action to resolve your problem. Most importantly, she follows up with a text or phone call to make sure your needs are meet. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for insurance. If I could give her a 100 stars, I would!!! read more

We switched to Farmers Insurance with Kathleen Hart-Hinek two year ago and have been more than satisfied with not only Kathleen but our coverage. Kathleen met with us to go over details of our previous policy and then let us know what we were missing from the policy, and how she could save us money with a new policy. It was a very easy transition. What we appreciate most about our new coverage is Kathleen herself. Kathleen is always available to answer all of our questions and take care of our insurance needs. Several times we have contacted Kathleen and needed information available immediately. Kathleen responded quickly with the information requested. If your are looking for a new policy, or agent, search no further. read more
