After sharing with family and friends our experience, or lack their of, with Katherine as the selling realtor when purchasing our home, I felt compelled to share this review for those of you using Katherine as your selling realtor in how she treats her buyers. I would like to preface the fact that Katherine has had more than enough time to correct this situation and has clearly no intent to.
We recently purchased our home and fortunately had amazing realtors who were helping us along the process. Long story short, we did everything preferable to Katherine and the sellers. We paid a significant amount over asking, we used their preferred lender, and we agreed to a less than 30 day escrow. We had minimal requests of her, none which were matched by our flexibility( such as asking to remove her detailed video of our home for personal reasons of privacy that is still up as I am writing this review). Throughout the weeks in escrow she was not punctual with responses from our realtor team and was less than helpful when it came to providing needed information (like sending the incorrect water company to our realtors by text that we were wanting to set up along with many others). Judging by the consistent activity on her social media, it is clear that her unresponsiveness was negligence and the lack of decency.
Upon our final inspection day, as us and our realtors were having a conversation with the previous homeowners, Katherine called. The previous owner had her on speaker and greeted her letting her know she was on speaker and we were all there talking. Katherine rudely responded with, "Take me off speaker, and leave the room." Not a greeting to us, a request for the previous owner to call her back when we were done talking, just a rude dictating response that even the previous owner seemed surprised by.
The day we closed, my husband and I arrived at our home this evening with the expectation of a empty home that was to be thoroughly cleaned that morning along with our extra keys and two garage openers. Instead we walked into a home with piles of trash, that very clearly had not been cleaned, with no keys, and one garage opener that didn't work. Our realtors were so upset for us that after all we endured during this process with Katherine during the purchase of our first home and being met with the home in this condition, was unacceptable. Katherine put fault on her sellers. A house cleaning crew that never showed up and keys and a garage opener that simply weren't there. Our keys were delivered to us the following day by a family member of he previous owners and we were told the other garage remote would be shipped to us immediately. All details that a decent realtor would have ensured were all set into place and delivered to buyers who have been nothing less than accommodating throughout the entirety of this escrow.
After multiple reminders by our realtors that we had yet to receive this second remote that was listed in the contract in the past month, Katherine responded days later stating "I'm so sorry. They wouldn't even give me their new address. They stopped responding to me. So sad," with no intent to make good on a sale and agreements with her name on it.
Overall, I wanted to share our experience and my hope that you go elsewhere when deciding who you want to represent your home. This should be an enjoyable time for both parties, especially when it comes to the purchase of a buyers first home. Someone who does not put blame on the shortfalls of her clients but corrects situations accordingly with humility and accountability. A realtor who displays respect, reliability, value for service, and overall decency. We are so grateful for the realtor team we had who still made this process enjoyable for us despite the way we were treated by Katherine. We understand that personable realtors are hard to come by, especially in today's crazy market which is why we would not recommend Katherine to anyone we know. read more
