Zero stars. If you are black/African-America and have hair loss or skin issues from any types of…read moreautoimmune illnesses, please don't waste your time here. She racially profiles you with the black women stereotype and doesn't diagnose but rather assumes your hair loss issues are from ethnic hair styles. I was furious that she obviously didn't look at my chart to see that I had Lupus and she assumed it was from braids. She even said that the scarf I had on contributed to it. I explained that I had only put it on for easy access of viewing my scalp. I told her that I hadn't woren braids in over 12 years and had NEVERbeen one to frequent braids because I was tender headed. She proceeded to say that it's just catching up to me. She NEVER asked about my Lupus symptoms to even gauge what was going on and said ALL black women where braids and tight hair styles. The assumptions and perspectives she has of black women are stereotypical and wrong to assume every situation is the same. She's just lazy and wrong and needs more training regarding autoimmune illness clearly.

I called to set an appointment for my 10 year old and they wouldn't take him until July because he is a "new patient". He is on the same insurance as my wife and I. We are established patients. He's 10 for heaven's sake. On top of that, the person on the phone, was actually pretty cold and rude about this fact and really didn't care. Quite sad really. I am officially looking for a new dermatologist. My son has an appointment with his pediatrician now to look at the issue. An acceptable response could have easily gone something like this, "I'm sorry, but we can't get him in until July due to him 'technically' being a new patient, but let me talk to the Dr. Wood to see if she will make an exception due to you being established and his father and I will call you within twenty-four hours." At least at that point, a parent feels like you care about their child. I just feel like a medical record now. Thanks, but no thanks. There are plenty other solid doctors out there who treat patients with respect and compassion.

Visited 2 weeks ago to remove warts on my eyelids. I had 2 warts and 1 skin tag (Optional for…read moreremoval). Before removal surgery, I asked them to provide me an cost estimate for each removal, the nurse said all covered by insurance. My understanding was I need to pay $0. So I decided to remove all 3 things at once. However, 2 weeks later, they sent me an invoice with $104 for each removal, total is $312. I called in for explanation. They said you should know you have deductible and insurance will apply deductible first. Actually, I don't have to pay any deductible for some other treatments, and that is why I asked for a cost estimate. I am unhappy because why you didn't inform me correctly at first. Another note. After the removal, they still called me crazy like twice a day for a couple days, asking me to schedule another visit for the same removal. Ridiculous. Be careful.

Words I heard from her "I think", "not sure", "don't know". Not at all thorough or knowledgeable. I also asked her about a few milias I have on my face because I was also willing to pay for a dermatologist to take care of them instead of an Aesthetician after several failed attempts with all kinds of facials. She again didn't seem to care and sent an office rep to take pictures of my face . So I had 3 small cysts (neck, shoulder and side of torso) and the PA tried to tell me they couldn't remove them all at once because of an infection. One was the half the size of a dime, the other half of that and the last one way about a ink spot. She said I'd have to come every few weeks to have them removed. When I told her I didn't live close by and live 10 hours away and was going back home in 4 days she said that they could remove them in 2 days back to back because of billing issues. Right As for the office, I had this consult during a coronavirus outbreak, they didn't seem to limit how many people were in the waiting area and had NO Hand sanitizer at the bare minimum for Sandra try reasons. I went to Crave cupcakes right afterwards and they offered gloves (very thin but worked) to wear when signing. Truly disappointed!
