Had an awful experience with Axminster Medical Group customer service so of course when I googled…read morethem I was not surprised to see many similar reviews. It took 2 weeks to get an approved authorization when it should have taken a couple of days max. THEN once i got my approval I contacted the approved doctor to schedule an appointment and I was told that they don't accept this insurance and medical group. So i called Axminster back and let them know what I had been told. The woman I spoke to was incredibly rude. She didn't seem interested in even giving me the time of day or figuring out why I got an approval to a doctor who doesn't accept my insurance. Instead she put me on hold for 14 minutes while she submitted a request to modify the provider. And then when she got back on the phone she hung up on me in the middle of my asking her a question. I mean, who does that? I work in healthcare. I know how patients should be treated. And this is absolutely not it. If you are working in this industry please have some compassion for others. People who you talk to are sick, they are vulnerable, and they are trying to navigate a complicated healthcare system. Why are you making it harder? I just don't understand. While my referral wasn't urgent, i can't imagine how they treat people who have life threatening ailments if this is how I was treated. What an awful experience. Please take the time to teach your customer service employees how to talk to people.

Glad she is gone!!!!! She was awful when I was seeing her back in California. At beginning she was…read moreokey then as time comes she changed her attitude towards me. I never been treated as bad as that healthcare group can say. The type of care I got was terrible. I still have bad memories of it.

I've left a review for HCP GYN, but I honestly wouldn't treat my worst enemy the way Joanna treated…read moreme for my IUD insertion. It was nothing short of traumatic because of all of the gaslighting and unprofessionalism. Theres numerous studies of Healthcare professionals ignoring excruciating female reproductive pain. I didn't expect to be a victim of this at a GYN from what seemed to be a reputable Healthcare group. Turns out it's a race to the bottom here, with high turnover and patient apathy, but that's another review for the group. The insertion was most intense pain of my life (I've catastrophically torn my knee, but I'd happily take that again in a heartbeat over the thought of being a patient here. After all, you can see a busted up knee, but uterus pain is obviously imaginary!) As I'm heaving and sobbing in fetal position, Joanna flippantly dismisses me, "This is nothing, wait til you have kids." Lady, the idea of an IUD is to NOT have kids. Also, who says that? My pain is invalid because of something I haven't experienced? How is this acceptable in Healthcare? She then smacks me on the back, worsening the stabbing that is my abdomen. Seriously. She says she needs to clear the room and tells me to get out. She demands that I call someone to come get me *if* I'm in that much pain. But that I *shouldn't* be in pain, I'm overreacting. Rest, heat, and advil, she says. For a procedure where she clamps, scrapes, and shoves something into my internal organs. But yeah, I'm apparently crazy for being in pain. I ended up having to use all my vacation and take two weeks off work because I was in so much pain! But nooo you *should* be fine, just take some advil. Sure, my pain isn't exactly her fault. But the way she dismissed me, heaving in a puddle of the worst pain of my life, told me I was overreacting, that this *couldn't* be how I felt--this is GASLIGHTING. This is not how Healthcare professionals should behave. It's abuse. Period. Seriously, ask any therapist. Would you feel safe returning to this office to talk about symptoms of your birth control? Or consulting her for period cramps? No, of course not, don't be daft, that's all imaginary. My current GYN actually listens to me, and has offered many different avenues of making me comfortable, ensuring that I get better care, and working with me to find something that works for me, despite being years away from my current IUD expiring. Find better care. You don't deserve this. Tldr: abusive, and no bedside manner.
