Midtown Garden Center, is a lovely little sanctuary located in one of the busiest areas in the city. Yes, parking might be difficult, and yes, the area isn't exactly "walkable" but once you arrive you're transported to a beautiful little rainforest with pots, plants, blooms, succulents, and even smoothies to satisfy your cravings on a hot and sunny day. I love coming here and asking the team what they would recommend for a rookie plant gal like myself. The team is always extremely sweet and helpful. Always a fresh breath of air walking in here!

Most importantly, the staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. They can always find you exactly what you're looking for and do a great job at potting for you. I am one of those stereotypical people who does an amazing job at killing plants, but everything that they have recommended for me has been spot on over the years.

She took the time to answer all our questions, offered help, and made sure we left feeling confident about our purchase. Her friendly and approachable attitude made the whole experience enjoyable. Located conveniently off Griffin Rd, it's hard to miss & has plenty of parking in the front. It seems like there's always a couple of employees walking around who are eager to help out. Their space is not massive by any means but it's set up to get the most out of it & they do it well. It's clearly sectioned off so you can easily find what you're looking for. Trees, native & exotic plants, fruit & vegetable plants, succulents, flowers; there's no shortage of variety here. They also do a good job at rotating their selection. I like that there's usually something new to me when I visit. For the most part, prices are great. If you're on a budget, you can walk away with an armful of succulents or small potted flowers for under $15. Also, There's always a sale of some sort. Like other places, they have things that are very expensive but at least the quality of these products seem good. Supporting local businesses is always a great thing to do so I try to stop by here monthly. If you're a fan of gardening or want to get started, this is a great place to check out. You'll even enjoy "window shopping" if you just want to see what this nursery is all about.

They recently opened the cafe with a nice mix of drinks and some pastries and empanadas. For the special event we were able to enjoy rose infused tea and delicious pastries. The owner, Paloma, was super welcoming and gave us a explanation on how the tea was prepared and shared a little bit about their herbal teas, cacao and light bites. I loved that they have a no plastic cup/straw policy and they allow you to bring your own cup. They also use beautiful ceramic cups that they make themselves. Prices are average compared to other coffee shops and the calm ambience surrounded by living art makes it worth the visit.

I am especially obsessed because their prices are extremely fair. I got my Two fig trees at this nursery and before coming here I had shopped for them online, Home Depot you name it and everywhere the prices were ridiculously high. Then I went to Kenia's and their prices were reasonable and their plants so well taken care of. I am so happy with all my purchases from Kenia's, I stop by whenever I'm nearby!
