The ambiance is purposefully medieval, cozy warm with carved wood and furs lining the walls and seating. It truly takes you back in time. The beer is served in traditional clay serving glasses. Prices were reasonable and they offer liter sizes. The menu offers small plates through full meals and everything we tried was excellent! Their version of a 'pizza' but with sour cream and cheese instead of tomato sauce was wonderful. We had it half/half with smoked salmon/herbs and half with sausage/onions. We also had a sausage and cheese plate along with soup. The owners were very friendly as was all the staff. Plus this place is perfectly out of the way of all the crowded places over near the market and churches. Highly recommended!

They didn't inform me that there was a cash only policy for one beer. It wasn't until after I drank my beer that the blonde woman working there informed me I had to pay in cash. I told her that was impossible because I had no way of getting cash. Wouldn't you know it, I had to buy 2 more beers to-go if I wanted to pay by card. So I was forced to buy 2 beers to-go because they want to hide their earnings. I was not notified before hand that I had to pay in cash even though the blonde woman told me there were signs everywhere indicating so. Apparently you can't have a beer at this bar unless you pay cash. Avoid this trap like the plague. They are dishonest and predatory.
