Ordered take-out from Kate's and everything is very delicious. Waited for about 30 min at the store and finally got our food. The ox tail is cooked so tender. Love the plantain as well. Fabulous. I had the Mbuzi with nsima. The best goat dish I have ever had. Wife is vegan and had the Chigwada with fufu. And the Samosas are gluten free! When I left, I felt energized, not heavy, even after having goat for lunch. That says a lot. Highly recommend. It is a treasure. read more

To me, it was not worth it. I'm not a big eater, I didn't want more rolls (more rice) I would have preferred higher quality rolls. Quality over quantity. But I guess when you're paying for an all-you-can-eat meal, what I got was expected. The ambiance was chill, just another couple of customers, one sushi chef and one waitress. It's quite a big place.

As someone who eats a lot of East African cuisine I was particularly pleased to have a variety of the continent all in one place. I had never had egusi before. Its a new favorite! The samosas are some of the best you can get in the area. While its off the "beaten path," the setting is pleasant and allows you to enjoy a truly authentic experience. This food is such a joy. I love foods from other cultures so am not a stranger to them but Kate's food has flavors and textures that are unique compared to anything I have ever experienced. Her staff is warm and inviting. The restaurant is thoughtfully decorated and clean with a view of trees and sky. The entrance is in the back of the building so look for the stand-up signage.
