Using squeaker toys and fun puppets--like a silly frog--she kept his attention and made the whole session feel like playtime. The space was clean, very kid-friendly, and they even offered drinks for everyone and toys to help our little one feel at home. They created such a comfortable environment that allowed our child's personality to shine through. The final photos were absolutely beautiful--natural, joyful, and full of the little expressions and love that we hoped for. We're so thankful to C41 Photography for their skillful production and incredible talent in capturing a story. Highly recommend for anyone with little ones!

I would have to say Meri Valentin Photography is by far my FAVORITE places to get any type of…read morephotos done. I first met Meri at the baby expo. I had already walked around the place looking at what the other photographers offered, but she was the only one who actually talked to me AND offered to take a baby bump picture! For free! She is one of the most friendliest people I have ever met in a long time. So, after I first got my downloaded baby bump pic from her (which I LOVED), I decided to book my first photo session with her, which was a maternity photo session. Ever since then, I have only gone to her for any of my photographic needs. From newborn sessions, Christmas Sessions, mini-sessions (she does bunny sessions, halloween, santa, etc.). Some may say she is a little pricey, but I think you get what you pay for. I LOVE LOVE LOVE each and every photo I have ever gotten from her. I once had a groupon for one of those little mall photo studios and was definitely unhappy with what I got. So, lesson learned. I recommend her to anyone I know. You don't have to do the full sessions. If she has a mini session, try those out! She really is awesome!

Sam Clark Photography is the perfect choice for a bride on a budget who wants creativity, style,…read moreand flexibility. The wedding photographer I originally booked about a year in advance bailed on us, and only a few months before the wedding (when stress levels were sky high, let me tell you!) Sam rescued us. He was very interested in the types of photos I liked, while also maintaining his artistic style. I felt like I got to customize the entire day as the little wedding pinterest junkie I was, while still getting all the professional guidance of a pro. Sam has a great personality for this industry. He is laid back and accommodating, but also very conscientious about providing the best quality and service. My sister, and also one of my bridesmaids, is mentally handicapped and I was concerned with the photography at the wedding because she often strikes a very stiff and unnatural pose when she knows she is being photographed. It's hard for her to hold a good smile for longer than 10 seconds, which is potentially problematic in a photo-documented event like a wedding. Sam was great in getting her to relax and be comfortable in front of the camera. He found a way to get her to smile more naturally, and keep her smile from falling by cuing her right before the shot was taken. I so appreciated the time he took to ease my concerns and ensure all the photos looked great. Once the photos are all edited and ready to go, Sam puts them in an online gallery (password protected) so you can share them with family and friends. I also received a disc containing all the finished photos, so I can use them for years to come. :)

Sam showed incredible dedication to making our day and our memories just as we wanted them. We live in New York and came home to Omaha for our wedding. Choosing the photographer from afar was tricky and we spent more time thinking about how we could or whether we even should decide without having the chance to talk to one in person. But from literally the moment we met him just 4 days in advance of our wedding, we instantly knew we made the right choice. Sam is incredibly thoughtful. He figured out our style and delivered an experience that matched us exactly. He was early for everything, giving a sense of security and peace of mind any nervous couple yearns for. He met his timeline giving us previews in a week, an assorted selection in 3 weeks, and our full set of 600 or so prints in a month mailed to our home in a month. And I won't give away the surprise, but HOW we sent the pictures was so cute, thoughtful, personal, unique...an unexpected touch that was like 4 cherries on top of a delicious experience. And his photographs! Amazing! He knows his equipment and uses it to its full potential. Even under extreme lighting conditions, the pictures are unbelievable. In the direct sun, in the shadowy hallways of an old mansion, and even in some pretty extreme action shots the pictures are flawless. The only thing we regret is that we can't have Sam with us for every big party in our lives...but we sure would if we could! Thank you Sam for the memories! With gratitude..

I took their workshop about 5 years ago and learned everything about posing and photographing…read morenewborns. This workshop is for experienced photographers only and those who want to learn from their style. They are doing their thing all day for those in attendance. It's amazing how I can read some negative reviews that complain they didn't take them by the hand, or tell them to stop stuffing their faces and get to work. It is completely up to the participant to observe and get the most out of their investment. If you're not prepared to sweat and work, then don't bother showing up.

I never realized how much negativity there was online surrounding this workshop, so I want to leave…read morea review that will balance the others out, in case someone is considering taking a class with Kelley and Tracy. I have run my own photography studio specializing in newborns since Jan 2011, and over the years, I've taken a total of 3 classes with K&T. All three have been excellent, and have helped me tremendously, depending on the stage that I was with my posing and photographic artistry. I would say that it's definitely worth the money if you can afford it and if you're looking to become a better artist. K&T are amazing amazing ARTISTS, and if you LOVE newborn photography, and spending a day in their studio and watching them work is like spending a day painting with Picasso. I've just never experienced anyone like them. Even after all these years, it's so clear that they love what they do, and are not jaded at all by what this industry has become (meaning that newborn photography is now a commodity and there are a ton of other people teaching classes that most likely first learned from THEM just a couple of years ago). They are very honest and open, and I've never had a question go unanswered. You have to approach them as great artists first, and not necessarily an elementary school teacher that will sit you down and teach you your abcs. What they do is so natural to them, that you have to keep your eyes and ears peeled and ask questions like "Why did you put that there, why did you turn the head this way, why did you use that kind of material, what would you do in this case, what do you think about this" etc. They will answer everything and then some. I never understood people that go to these workshops and start socializing with other photographers to the point where they miss the action. Hello! You're not there to chit chat about your kids or eat cookies, otherwise why bother?? I wouldn't go to a workshop taught by someone else simply because I refuse to pay money to someone that first went to K&T to learn (or even worse, learned from someone that learned from someone that went to K&T) and then is "teaching" other people. Why wouldn't you go experience the real deal instead of a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy. Here are some tips to get the most out of your workshop: 1. Get some basic newborn sessions under your belt first, even if they are free models. That will help you get the feel for working with a baby and what issues might arise, and then know what questions to ask. 2. Pay very very close attention to their lighting. Lighting is everything, and how they manipulate it, how much light there is in the room, how far away the baby is from the light source, how the baby is positioned in relation to the light and how many shadows there are on their face, it's all super important. 3. Observe their stylistic sense. Watching them coordinate set-ups is probably like watching Coco Chanel dress up in the morning. The way they feel color and texture is one of a kind and can't be taught like a multiplication table. Pay attention. 4. Keep your eyes and ears peeled and ask a ton of questions. 5. And enjoy!!
