After calling a few other places and either getting really annoyed people on the phone or seeing the iffy reviews, Flux answers and said they could take me in and see what they could do. They did. I got a tattoo done by George who is freaking hilarious. His sense of humor is definitely my type of funny. You can tell that he loves what he does and drew me up my idea on the spot. His idea really because I couldn't put into barley put into words what I wanted and gave him an awful "sketch" of what I wanted. The place is super clean and modern but also nostalgic? When he was done Sarah pierced my nose. Sarah is his wife and she's just as amazing, her personality and attention to detail is just as wonderful as George's. She also knew what I wanted without having to hear me over explain myself. She knows what she's doing and she's soooooo goood it at it. Love her hair too. Gorgeous! I drove up from Kent to get a dream tattoo done by Ignacio (Nacho). I have worked with him before but this tattoo was something extra special. I worked with him and gave him ideas of what I wanted included in my tattoo and I was speechless with the result. Pictures attached, you will see the result. NACHO IS ELITE! What else is elite is how tidy, clean, friendly, and welcoming this shop is. You can feel the positive vibes between artist which makes for a relaxing environment for the customer. From the entrance to the bathroom this place was very very clean. And again, every artist stopped by during our 8 hour session and was talking and complimenting. Just great vibes throughout. We couldn't be in the shop at the same time though so that made the experience significantly less special but I guess covid... But we both noticed that Ryan was super heavy handed immediately. We both have many tattoos & kind of know what to expect/feel. He then did the "hot press" technique after he was done & that was new. If you don't know, they get a bunch of paper towels covered with super hot water and put it over the tattoo to basically "cauterize" the tattoo. Then I asked for second skin & he said he didn't offer it because he was allergic... Didn't make much sense. My sister & I both have had a horrible time with the healing process. Scabs that are bigger than usual & taking the color with it when it falls off. We wash it daily & put a light layer of aquaphor on it 1-2x daily. We're not saying that this shop isn't good but we've definitely been to better & wouldn't recommend it to our friends.
