I have had a fair amount of upholstery done over the years in another state, but I had no idea about who to use for upholstery in Indianapolis. Sherrill's had excellent reviews (and a good number of them, too). I stopped by their shop with one of my cushions and photos of my sofa. One look at their shop and also a complex project they were working on told me these people know what they are doing. It was organized and professional. In short order, they gave me a price that was right about what I had expected. Pick up and delivery when smoother than smoother, the sofa was done right on time and the work is impeccable. That was a hefty quote, so I had questions such as what type of cushions (size) and the quality and color of vinyl that would be used on the chairs. Could I pick it? Five days later, he responded that he had some vinyl left over from a job he did and would send pic of what it looked like. Well as of this review, he never sent the pics. I ended up ordering the padding, getting vinyl and doing the job myself. The communication was pretty poor in this case and i felt that the estimate was a bit pricey, but I was still going to go with it. Oh well, I just took it as a sign of maybe I just did not need to pay to get this job done.

After I worked 5 days rebuilding and refinishing my 122 year old door, the holes needed hiding to make the door completely beautiful. Greg put on his magic touches and bingo! It is perfect. Thanks! Greg's work was fantastic. The value for the money spent with him was great. Greg knows how to balance his effort and labor (my costs) with the repair efforts to maximize my benefit. I have had Greg repair antique furniture, very high end custom Pine kitchen cabinets, historic wood trim, and new trim made to look old and historic to match the rest of our house trim. From there, things only got worse. She kept our furniture for nine months and in all that time only completed one of the three pieces. Even worse, she started that one piece with the wrong fabric, which meant there wasn't enough left for the other items. I called regularly--every few weeks--and was met with excuse after excuse. When we finally got the "finished" piece back, the quality was disappointing. The fabric pattern wasn't aligned, and it was not completed as we had discussed. Then, to top it all off, she tried to charge us even more than originally agreed, claiming it was "more work than expected." In the end, we had to take our furniture elsewhere: one piece to be fixed, and the other two to be done from scratch. It's incredibly disheartening to have such a poor experience, especially when trying to support a small business. I absolutely would not recommend.

I wanted fabric that would last a long time so she recommended this after I explained what style I was going for. Gregory gave me an estimate and the process began. When I went to pick up my chairs, Crystal had created two pillows for me! I am 6 months in with these chairs and the fabric has remained intact! I love my chairs so much! We've had 5 pieces of furniture re-upholstered by Frost over the years. They are the best to work…read morewith. YOUR satisfaction is their goal. If an issue does creep up, they will take care of you. Their people will come out and pick up the piece and make it right. I had an issue with one recliner I had re-upholstered. They came out, picked it up, and redid the seat for me. No charge, as their apology on that, and their service made it good as new again. We had seat work done by them and the seat frame broke when I first sat in it. I saw the issue, called them, and Frost said they'd take care of it ASAP. They gave me a new hardwood frame and a new seat. As good as it gets, really. I'd use them and I'd recommend them to my friends. In fact, I have. If you have a good piece of furniture, that just needs new upholstery...get it re-upholstered by Frost. It may cost nearly the same as some new furniture...but these days, you get a lot more for your money by using good "bones" to begin with. Not the new junk that usually has plywood framers and Chinese made mechanisms.

Decided we'd like to support a local small business so placed our small order in mid Sep (paid in…read morefull at that time), being told it'd take 7-10 days. Two wks later, we get a call telling us the glass was in but when we went to get it, no one could find it! Still no idea what happened but they said it would be reordered. From that point on, we called and stopped in every few days but were always given one excuse after another. Customer service was nonexistent, they NEVER called to update us....it was always us reaching out to them. We heard that it would be in on the next truck, had to be special ordered and would be in the next week, would "probably" be in by Friday, had to be special ordered by a different supplier and (my all-time favorite), at nearly 2 months out, it was on back order!! Glass finally arrived 8 weeks after order was placed. No apology, no discount, no offer of any kind, just here's your glass. Had planned to install during September or October weather but obviously, with the weather now, we get to go more months without a window. How is this place still in business? Utterly unprofessional in every way possible. If you choose to order here, be prepared for your project to remain unfinished for months.
