Both were exactly what we needed after a long day. After dinner, we stayed for the wine and the company of Manuel. After a few people couldn't help us, we found these two ladies who directed us to Altes Europa. We wanted traditional German food because we can get better ethnic food back at home. It's down a side street a little farther away from the hustle and bustle, and it was totally worth it. The prices were low given the quality you get. I ended up getting one of the of the most expensive specials they had on the chalkboard that day because it was still reasonably priced. I got asparagus because in the spring asparagus is king in Germany and Austria. It was totally delicious. I also got Apfelstrudel as a dessert and do not regret it. Some of the wait staff were a little distant, but the waiter we got was extremely helpful at explaining everything on the menu. We complimented him before we left. It was such a great meal, and it is totally what you need to have when you come for a visit to Germany.
