Fellas, take the hat off and go get a nice hair cut!…read more Men should definitely consider getting their hair cut here. I had always gone to barbers, so I was a bit dubious about getting my hair cut at a salon. George is way better than any barber. I don't know how he does it, but my hair still looks good as it grows out, and I don't need to do much to make it presentable before going out. I have some severe cowlicks around the crown of my head, and if cut poorly it looks like I'm balding (or maybe I'm actually balding and George is great at protecting my ego). Either way, George takes care of this with the way he cuts my hair. He'll analyze the way your hair grows and cut it to work for you. If you're losing your hair, George is skilled enough to cut it so that it looks good anyway. If you want advice on how to stop hair loss and maybe grow it back, George is very knowledgeable and will be happy to dish out some advice while he cuts your hair. Obviously it's more expensive than a barber, but the quality is so much better that it's actually a superior bargain in my opinion. And it's way better than buzzing your own hair and putting a stupid hat on.

I had my hair cut by Ivy. Requested 2-3 inches of damaged hair cut off but had 5 inches, 6 in some…read moreplaces cut. My hair does feel healthier and the cut looks decent. If I wanted to lose 5 inches I would have asked. My mistake was taking my teenage daughter for a cut as well. We gave Ivy 4 pictures of a basic A line cut. At first it was too long, more of a blunt shoulder length bob. Now She looks like a damn mushroom head. The cut is chunky and uneven. The back looks like it was cut with a box cutter. She even said "I think it needs to be thinned at the bottom?" Like ya it does. Are you asking me or are you the professional?! The whole entire head of hair is lopsided as if it was cut by a drunk on a boat. In a hurricane. I had to physically run out of there to keep myself from yelling. If she cut it anymore it would've had to become a pixie. Use caution. You get what you pay for.

Yes I was wearing a mask and I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that this is why the front was so bad. But the mask doesn't cover the back of my hair which was also messed up. Also, I went to another hairstyles (wore a mask) and she was able to fix this terrible hair cut (front side included). Second, I believe this is what yelp is for, to leave a honest review about the service that we receive. Lastly, I didn't go back because if this is the service I received the first time around, how would the second attempt be better? My review was not meant to be disrespectful, sorry you feel that way. Best wishes to you too.

I had a consultation with Alexis before booking my appointment. I showed her an inspiration photo…read moreand explained exactly what I wanted. She told me that because my hair had purple and red tones, it would be more challenging, but she assured me she could achieve the look. I trusted her, especially since I wanted my hair done for my birthday. During the appointment, she had an assistant working on my hair who clearly seemed inexperienced. I was never asked if I was comfortable with the assistant doing part of the service. I understood everyone has to learn, so I didn't say anything. When my hair was finished, I was disappointed. It came out much darker than what I had asked for and looked nothing like my inspiration photo. To her credit, Alexis acknowledged it was too dark and offered to redo it free of charge. I went back for the correction. Before she started, I asked about the highlights because I couldn't see any. She told me they would still show, but even after the redo, there were still no visible highlights, and the final result was still far from what I had requested. I don't like arguing or making a scene, so I accepted it and left. However, I'm extremely disappointed that I spent over $400 and didn't receive the hair color I was promised. Now I have to pay another salon to fix it. Based on my experience, I can't recommend this salon. If a stylist isn't confident they can achieve a specific look, it's better to be honest from the beginning rather than promise something that can't be delivered.
