I have to say this was a great time! I actually really love places like this, even though they can definitely suck money out of your pocket. I mean it's not cedar point or Disney World but you do definitely have to bring your Visa card. This particular place has three go kart tracks, one of which was really a lot of fun They also had a particularly challenging putt putt golf course that could be infuriating at times (some of the infuriating moments prevented me from winning!). There's also bumper boats with water pistols. It's a lot like most other places that I've seen, but it definitely seemed like a well run operation and was well worth the visit. read more

It's got everything you'd want in a fun park sans any kind of food. I think they had sodas and chips. There's a kiddie area with bumper boats, a bouncy castle and a small track with those 12v battery powered cars. I think that was $10 for one kid (maybe 7 I forget). We did the adult go carts a bunch of times and one nice thing I noticed is that the different cars actually seemed to have the same power. The adult bumper boats were good too. Go ahead and buy the 5 pack tickets for $35 that gives you an extra free ticket. My wife enjoyed the zip line although it's pricey at 20. There are other cart tracks and ponies too but we didn't make it to those. read more

Visited with my 7 and 5 year old and had a great time! They have a "little" kid section and their all day pass only cost them $10 each. There was a tiny water bumper boat, mini race car (only one worked), and a bounce house. Free sand box in the park too. Adult rides were only $5 each and we got to enjoy their race karts with kids on them. When kids pay for an all day pass they ride free with adults. Price was amazing compared to your average carnivals in the Chicagoland area so it was definitely worth it. read more

Love the Kartway. I visit Eagle River with friends almost every year for a rally at the campground across the highway. We ALWAYS make time to come over to hold our own Eagle River Grand Prix. The main track is fun, but there is enough disparity in kart power to make the luck of the draw more of a factor than driver skill. The slick track is where the fun is - righteous short-track drifting in karts, more collisions than you'd probably want and generally a great time. The staff have always been welcoming and gracious, the facility is modest but well-kept, the price is right ($5 per run, any track, with discounts for bulk purchases). Take kart #8. read more

My boyfriend took me here for the first time this summer and I had so much fun!!! We're both 23 and had a blast lol! The mini golf is really fun and better than the other, Eagle Falls in town and you can never go wrong with their go karts! My boyfriend and I tied in mini golf so we decided to break the tie with go karts after! Great time! read more

Great place!!! My whole family (parents/grandparents, brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews) went for a fun night of carting and had a great time!! One of my nieces drove a go-kart for the first time tonight and had trouble stopping in time and caused a pretty big bump with all the other carts in line when coming back in. She was very upset and the gentleman(maybe owner) saw it happen and rather than come out and be upset about it and with our group tried to comfort and tell her he has seen worse. Couldn't have asked for a more pleasant experience and courteous staff. Will go back every year we are in Eagle River!!! read more

We take visitors and grand kids here 4-5 times a year. This is a seasonal business! The employees are local high school and college kids. There's an older person usually here too. Everyone is trained and efficient. They stay focused on safety. The karts show age but run well and fast. The ticket price is at the low end of the competition. Zip line overhead is fun too watch too. The negative reviews here are obviously from visitors to,our area who expect the locals to worship their Chicago or Milwaukee BIG MONEY. Figure it out - people are people and mutual respect and respectful attitudes go along way. There's plenty of fun to be had. read more

While I used to enjoy coming down to Kartway to enjoy some go karting, my recent experiences have been less than stellar. Workers were reluctant to engage with customers, preferring to ignore them when asked questions about the tracks and gokarts, and failing to help customers if a kart happened to collide with areas of the minuscule track. Don't come to this place-- save your money for somewhere that won't rip you off and where the customer service is improved. While the staff only makes $6.66, a price below minimum wage and most likely illegal as this is child labor, it should still be a priority to the management that the well-being of customers is maintained. Due to the lack of safety of the tracks, the staff's lack of inhibition, and the rudeness of the management (ripped off our money and cursed at us while we were leaving), I definitely would not recommend coming to this establishment. Workers Cameron and Trevor were among the rudest and made the good experience of staff members Ronnie and Brittany tarnish. Workers Cameron and Trevor failed to make riders cognizant of how much time they would have on the tracks and, because this was not made clear, the riders continued to ride for an additional lap. The workers labeled this miscommunication as "misconduct" and abruptly forced customers off the premise without a refund, in turn ripping them off. This situation needs to be rectified before I will even consider returning to Kartway. It's a shame that the underpaid workers take out their anguish on innocent and unsuspecting customers. read more

After attending the Kartway last evening, I have become blatantly aware of two things: 1. Wisconsin Residents Love Cheese 2. Kartway is a fraudular business. The night started off rainy, a hazy mist appearing before our eyes as my friends and I piled into the Audi A4. A couple of cows ran in front of the road and we made use of the turbo engine to swerve past the cows and make our way to the local Kartway. We passed the local McDonalds on our way ,stopping to enjoy some of the best Big Macs ever consumed. At last, we arrived at the Kartway and the lights of the establishment beckoned us to buy some overpriced tickets to enjoy ourselves on some of the fastest and stylish gokarts around. As we dismounted from the Audi, we smelled of grease and looked zitty as ever from the grease that inevitably got on our faces as we dug our faces into the greasy McDonalds fries. As we strutted to the ticket booth, an elderly manager assisted us in forking over $100 in straight cash to take a couple of whirls on those shining gokarts. Once the tickets were purchased, a gentleman by the name of Trevor with a gangly body trudged on over to us to be of assistance. At once he swiped the few tickets our $100 had gotten us and escorted us to the track. My friend called out to him, "Hi Trevor!", and he snarled in rebuke "You don't know me. Lay off." With eyes wide in fear, my dear pal skittered over to the legendary cart, number 2. As she buckled herself in and got prepared to go from 0 to 60 in 3.5 seconds, Trevor traipsed over, looked down at her, and stuck out his lower lip in a fit of disapproval. "You've got it all wrong," he proclaimed. He proceeded to physically assault her as he undid the buckle and tied her into the cart so that she was not able to squirm or move an inch. All of a sudden, take off approached. The carts whizzed into the dewy and mosquito infested night and the management and crew went back to the pit to enjoy their crackpipes. Everything was moving along and everyone was having a joyous time until Trevor, mid smoking his crack, heard the loud screech of my dear pal's automobile against the rugged terrain. As he waltzed over to her placement in the middle of the track spinning in the opposite direction, he tripped and fell on a bunch of chicken nuggets scattered by a chunky kid in cart number 12,too obese to wait until the ride had finished to indulge in his Mcdonalds greasery. In a bout of complete and utter chaos, the chunky child went spinning out of control, hitting the fallen worker Trevor, but not before he could swipe two chicken nuggets and stuff them down his windpipe. Trevor suffered extensive injuries and is now confined to a a full body cast. He scams people daily, puts a bad name to the Kartway establishment, and has become more bitter than ever. I recommend not attending if Trevor is working a shift. read more
