About eight years ago, I moved down here from Denver. Left my family behind, didn't know when I'd see them again, and landed in a rough part of town trying to juggle rent and a mortgage. It was a grind. On the drive down, a buddy of mine texted me, "You've got to try Kincaid's when you get there." He used to swim at TCU, knew the area well, so I trusted him. First visit, I ordered the Cowboy Deluxe. Bacon, grilled jalapeños, pimento cheese. Took one bite and thought, yeah... this is it. As far as traditional burgers go, I'll say it straight: it's the best burger out there. No question. You can chase the fancy, over-the-top burgers around town, but Kincaid's doesn't need any of that. They just get it right. And honestly, during a pretty lonely stretch of life, that place became my spot. It helped me get through that first month without my family more than I expected. Great burger. Even better memories.

I know times are hard and the cost of things have also gone up, but it's these little things that make you consider taking your hard earned money somewhere else. 3 stars because we generally are happy with the food we get. It just might be a while until we patronize again.
