My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - On my Saturday visit, Acquario Italian Restaurant was busy and full of energy. Acquario has a very upscale feel, with dim lighting, heavy white tablecloths, and lots of pretty people. You can make a reservation on Open Table. 1 Star. Service - Our server was exceptional. He made many recommendations and didn't need to write down our order. He checked in several times, and a manager even stopped by asking us how things were. Our table settings were cleared after each course, and the entire time we felt like we were at a fine dining establishment (because we were). 1 Star. Food - We began with several starters, but the two most outstanding were the Octopus Ceviche and the Grilled Octopus. The Ceviche was light and fresh, and the Grilled Octopus was tender with a smoky char. The presentation was outstanding. For my main, I chose the Ravioli Tartufo. I discovered this rich, savory, truffled infused cheese at one of my favorite soufflé spots in Dallas, so when I saw Acquario had a ravioli version, I ordered it. It easily exceeded my expectations, the creamy Tartufo cheese sauce was smooth, velvety, and creamy. And none was spared, as it made an excellent dipping sauce for the house made Italian bread. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes.... I hope. Keller is pretty far for me, and there are many delicious Italian restaurants in Dallas. But wow, Acquario Italian Restaurant has permanently made its mark on me, and I will be looking for an excuse to return (or hope they open a second location in Dallas County). 1 Star.
