There aren't enough words to describe how awesome this company is. So glad we invested in this 3 week "doggie boot camp" - it was worth every penny. We knew our (9 month old) sweet, cuddly German Shepherd would make the perfect family dog, but we also knew he needed some manners. Jeffrey, the owner, was the most amazing person to lead the effort as he asked me a ton of questions before our free 10 minute FaceTime consultation with who he let me know in advance was the perfect trainer on his staff to train Nox and YES he was right. What a difference 3 weeks makes!! We certainly expected Nox to learn a few basic requests while at boot camp--but his level of obedience far exceeded our expectations. David did an amazing job! For example, Nox will "stay" until instructed to move even when you taunt him with doggie treats (I was totally impressed). He does a great job "loose leash walking" in public places (he doesn't respond to other dogs walking by and will "sit" still while strangers pet him). My daughter jogs Nox every morning for about 45 minutes just like Jeffrey told me would be one thing we can't compromise on if we were going to see measurable results and she has kept with it every single morning and even looks forward to taking Nox out for what she was taught is her morning "Meditation Walk". Not only that, when we have guests come by, Nox no longer jumps on visitors or wants to get on the furniture, and all of his chewing on shoes and anything he can get a hold of is gone. We are literally enjoying Nox as the sweet dog that we always felt he could be if actually listened to us and now does. We rescued Nox in late January of this year and he was a Texas transplant, so to say that Los Angeles was a shock to him was an understatement! He was never exposed to the abundance of people, as well as other dogs Los Angeles life is known for and at first it was pretty hopeless ... until we contacted Karma Dog Training. David worked with Nox to help him get through a lot of his basic obedience without making Nox feel like the alternative behaviors that he was taught to redirected his focus to anything but fun; it was more like a game to Nox and you can see the self-satisfaction and happiness in his eyes when he knows he's being a "good boy." On walks Nox is wanting to greet people/dogs and explore the neighborhood but it happens only when I allow him to and most importantly, he listens to me coming from a place of admiration for being a dog parent who is truly devoted to his well-being as opposed to because he has to. We also did the Basic Communication Level 1 Classes for 7 weeks and it was seriously worth every penny. It's held in a nice park with awesome dog parents and they only take 6 or 7 dogs at a time (which was perfect for us), so you know your dog is getting ample individual attention. You also have the opportunity to make up any missed classes since which was great since we went out of town for 2 weeks during the 7 week course and we were allowed to make up those missed lessons. We found the classes extremely enjoyable and very informative as it really reinforced the training that Nox went through during his boot camp with Karma and we couldn't be more happy with the results. Your search for the most awesome trainers are over. I TELL ALL MY FRIENDS ABOUT THIS AMAZING COMPANY!!

We just finished our puppy kindergarten class with Anya, Anna, and Jahnavi. They were very supportive and caring with our little Harley. We learned a lot of lessons from the class that we have used when going out with Harley. With the lessons, we were able to teach Harley to come when called, sit, lie down, walk with a loose leash, and other important lessons. In addition, the socialization class was very beneficial. With the lockdown, I had kept Harley indoors without socializing before taking this class. In her first socialization class, she was very timid and afraid of approaching other dogs. This past weekend in her final 8th socialization class, she is now jumping around and playing with the other dogs. The team at Karma Dog Training helped Harley learn how to get over her shyness and socialize with other dogs. The teachers have done an amazing job and I would definitely recommend them for anyone who has a dog.

This is a great place !! My puppy stitch has been to training for 3 weeks now and we both love it ! The trainers are super sweet and informative! Stitch is 11 weeks old and has already picked up so much! Thank you for all you do to make out puppy perfect for our son ! Stitch is gong to be a service dog for my 3 year old son .. it's super important he gets the training he needs from people that know what they are doing !

We've been so incredibly happy to have come across Karma Dog Training when we got our first puppy Molly (14 months) and have continued to rely on them for support and learning with our second puppy Helena (3 months). We took Molly to Puppy Kindergarten when she was 4 months old and enjoyed learning how to teach her the 7 basic commands for success and most importantly giving her the opportunity to socialize with other puppies. When we got Helena we found that they were not an instant match, so we reached out to Karma again and we have been over the moon with their help. We signed Helena up for Puppy Kindergarten to give her the chance to socialize with other dogs, and also signed up for a private home lesson with Susan. We were hesitant to spend $200 on 1 1/2 hours, but it was sooooooo worth it! In that short time we went over the commands that are going to help them develop better play skills as well as address any anxiety and jealousy that may creep up, and stop some naughty behaviors. Susan taught us how to teach them to "take it", "leave it", "give it", "find it", "stay", "share", "speak & "quiet", "gotcha for being handled", "take turns", and "Puppy push-ups". Susan talked us through the commands and how they would help us all while paying close attention to the pups to observe their behavior and offer her insight. We feel a million times more comfortable determining what is good play and how to encourage it as well as armed to eliminate some naught behaviors thanks to her amazing instruction. It is important to us to treat our pups with love and respect, and I appreciate that Susan and Karma do exactly that. I will continue to trust Susan and Karma Dog Training with teaching us how to be the best pet parents!

I signed up for puppy kindergarten class. I loved the patience and care that the trainers (Anya and Anna) showed my puppy Luna. The online classes built some foundational command skills that I am using regularly with Luna and the socialization component of the class has been invaluable. When I adopted Luna, she was a scared puppy that avoided all people and dogs. While she still has a ways to go, she has made a lot of progress. Trainer Anna built a connection with Luna over time allowing Luna to open up at her own pace. Seeing the way the instructors interacted reinforced the importance of being patient and celebrating the small wins with Luna. I am grateful for the kindness and patience that they gave Luna.

When it comes to our puppy, we see her as a member of the family. So, we know how important it is to get her off to the best start possible, with socialization, training, and general behavior. There is no better place to get friendly, straight-forward training and behavioral help than Karma Dog Training! Our Aussie is such a sweetheart, but also, a complete handful. Her love for jumping, nipping, and biting was making my fiancee and I feel a little overwhelmed because none of the methods we read in books or online seemed to help. Obviously, a huge part was due to our puppy teething but we fly nervous about the enthusiasm behind her bite and what it could mean if she ever did it to someone other than us. We decided to get professional advice and help and Karma answered our call! We signed up for the 8-week puppy class as well as 3 in-home training sessions and were blown away by both. The Puppy Class with Jessica in Beverly Hills was such a great learning experience for us and our pup. Being in a safe, controlled environment while learning to understand how a dog is feeling and how to interact with them when it comes to being around other dogs and people. After all, our puppy is amazing at following commands when we are home alone, but out in the open, it's a whole different story. On top of that, puppy class also acts as a way to learn the basics with your dog (i.e. stay, come, etc) in a distracting environment. Getting our puppy Ella to sit, "leave it", and "come" with other dogs and owners all around was a huge stride. As for the in-home training, all I can say is DO IT... and if you can, do your training with Jennifer! Being in our own home allowed Jennifer to see our puppy in her own environment, when she is bold and comfortable enough to push boundaries and break rules. It made it so that we could learn specific techniques, geared towards our individual puppy and her individual habits. General training is great, but in our case, we felt we needed help with what our puppy was getting up to when it was just us at home and she wasn't showing off for guests. Tailor-made advice and training is incomparable and has literally changed our lives! Overall, I would recommend Karma Dog Training over and over. They can be a little slow to email back, however, it's because they are working 24/7 with dogs and families in person. From my experience, they are not kidding when it comes to being hands on and full on, never slacking off or phoning it in. One other personal benefit I felt was that they in no way sugar-coat things. There's no "telling you what you want to hear," which I love because that doesn't help us or our puppy and can lead to worse behaviors later in life. Dog and puppy training is so important and with Karma Dog Training I feel like we are giving ourselves and our puppy the best start to our lives together as we possibly could!

Kelli was wonderful. She really listened and really helped mitigate the issues we were having with our puppy. I highly recommend.

Unfortunately, this place was a HUGE disappointment and had a huge negative impact on our pup. Long story short -- Everything here is a sales grab. The few girls care for the animals but the "managers" and men there are just there for the commission of your packages. I had a whole conversation about their unethical sales pitching with the employee while picking up my dog lol. It's "how they keep the place open" - the employee's words, not mine. Astounding. Said employee also asked what I did for a living because I questioned their sales pitch tactics -- I'm in sales. Also, If you need their VIP services for your unspayed or neutered pup, please spend your money elsewhere!! Before committing to a membership, we did a trial day and spent hundreds on drop in days, grooming, and overnight boarding to see if it was a good fit for our high energy pup. Our dog is not neutered and we don't plan on getting him neutered so we chose their VIP rooms. His breed is also extremely high energy and they promised they could accommodate. I also inquired about training multiple times and they kept saying the trainer would contact me. Everything went great after those few visits, they seemed caring and said he was a great fit for a membership so we end up signing up. Then everything went downhill. Upon the first day of the membership, our dog all of a sudden had behavior issues and needed to be picked up. In the middle of my work day I call the shift manager, and he states that if we want our dog to stay, he needs training ... (from their same trainer that I've inquired 3x about before committing to a membership, still haven't heard back). I asked why this wasn't communicated ever before committing to a membership and they didn't have an answer. I informed them that I would've paid for training before committing to a membership if they would've let me know that there were any issues. Our dog went a couple of more times until they could finally get me in touch with the trainer, 6 visits later. Actually I had lost complete trust at this facility. To add insult to injury, I was able to speak to one of their actual workers that is with the dogs and she let me know that our dog is only let out for about 10 minutes at a time, maybe 3 to 4 times a day during a 12 hour stay. This is their VIP option. So not only is he left in a room for about 12 hours a day, with dogs barking all around him, he's not being stimulated nor played with just being let out to go to the bathroom. Contradicting everything they say that they offer. Their "trainer" is also a joke. He is supposed to be from the Marines and well-versed in the breed of dog that we have. Upon washing him for 5 minutes, as I was told, he said that our dog needed to be neutered before he could be trained because of his energy. Our dog is a Malinois and is not supposed to be neutered before 2 years of age. We've since went elsewhere to get our dog trained from someone who is actually educated on his breed and he's worked on all of his anxiety and reactivity issues that our pup got because of this place.
