Myli's SweEat ice - Strawberry Shortcake - delicious

Have you ever visited a place and knew they would be in your treat rotation from that point moving…read moreforward? I've just had that experience. I even let me frugal meter stay off so I can, on occasion, let this place make my tongue happy. I've passed this place without noticing it many times since I moved to Livingston. I decided to see what was so sweet to eat with their ice. First of all, some sweet lady greeted me was the cutest smile when I walked inside. I noticed tables to eat and play games immediately to my left. The sweet lady explained she was the mother of the owner, and was helping him run the store today. Without making my review extra long: They give discounts to veterans. They make all flavors in house. This is a dairy free dessert (unless you ask for condensed milk on your product), so you do not have to worry about gut distress. Sometimes dairy will turn your colon to Louis Armstrong's trumpet! This is Gelato, and your tongue will be happy that you tried it. They made certain to distinguish themselves from trying to be some knock off of a snowball stand. They have many toppings and flavored creations made in house. Overall, you have to try this place. I only had strawberry, but it was light, refreshing, and favorable. I actually had strawberry seeds in my cool treat. I'm looking forward to trying many more flavors. The staff will guide you in the right direction of what it is you're desiring for that day.

Cute place for a sweet treat, service is always with a smile, treats are always good.read more

Sorely disappointed in this place. I was invited here a about a year or more so, ago and love the…read moreexperience at that time. The customer service is great and so was the ice cream. Unfortunately, the experience we had yesterday was horrible. They are supposed to close at 11pm, we got here around 8pm, and my son commented how he could hear the people slapping the gloves on the counter so hard that you didn't hear it from outside near our car, which was true. They were not supposed to close for a few hours anyways. I'm not sure if they were just playing around or frustrated, but either way, from the time we walked in, to the time we were literally standing right in front of them, no one said hi, or welcomed us in. They literally were just standing there. The employees were two young black guys. The one with the glasses finally said something, and we started ordering. My son ordered a bubble waffle cone with ice cream, everything was normal, but both employees started looking at each other, and kind of making fun of him, which was ridiculous. They kept making faces to each other and giggling. We literally came here on my son's birthday for him. I didn't say anything, but it was obviously frustrating. I didn't say anything because I didn't want to make a scene on my son's birthday. We got our ice cream, I took my other child to the bathroom and came back and I looked over to them, and they both ducked under the counter or sat there, I guess, talking to eachother so customers couldn't ask them questions or anything. The only time they seemed professional/ welcomed another woman in was when another man who worked there was nearby. My suggestion would be to get rid of these employees because the customer service bar is the lowest it could be.

So glad this place is in the woodlands. Cupcakes are a must try too. So fresh, and the icing is some of the best you will ever eat. I don't come often because parking is always a nightmare, and tonight was no exception. When I showed them the app, the staff seemed confused on how to do a redemption. So they had to call the owner for help. The owner apparently told them not to honor the redemption because they were in the process of switching rewards program platforms, and what used to be a 50‑point reward was going to be a 300‑point reward. The staff said my points would transfer eventually, but I only will have 63 -- not enough under the new system. Hey, I'm no entrepreneur. But I am a customer who eats out all the time. And to me this is a textbook example of an owner who doesn't get customer service. I drove all the way there, dealt with the parking, and came specifically to redeem a reward that still showed as valid in their app. It's not my fault their system hadn't switched over yet. These cakeball and truffle treats are only the size of a donut hole. It's not one of their higher end desserts. The obvious right move would've been to honor the reward and give the customer the treat. But nope. They chose the stingy route instead. And with that one decision, they lost another customer. Congrats and enjoy your cakeballs.
