We get makeovers 1-3 times a year from Nordstrom, Sephora and MAC....... But we've never been taught how to implement the techniques the artist as using. They might tell us what to do but it's in one ear, out the other. Ana's approach is a multi learning process. She tells you what to do and why, teaches you how to do it on someone, then she involves you in the process by having you try this technique for yourself. She's there to give guidance and feedback along the way. Classes are small and cozy (4 people). Ana has a warm, sweet personality and it was lovely to spend time with her. During the trial she was very detailed and took lots of time to make sure that I was happy with the final look, and on the wedding day the whole team that came (we had a large bridal party, and Mink will provide more assistants to the main artist to make sure that you finish on time) was fantastic. What was important for me too was that everyone had very good hygiene standards when doing our makeup, so nobody was worried about cold sores or breaking out from contaminated product. He didn't listen to me at all the second time. I wanted a silver blonde and he went more with an ash - it was almost yellow which is what I absolutely didn't want. Sarmad also now has an assistant at the salon, who was extremely rough with my hair. She brushed out all the tangles so aggressively that the brush was filled with my hair immediately. This was after my hair had been bleached so I knew it was going to just break and rip. I don't know why she was doing that. She also helped with some of the bleaching and I think she actually took it out too early because Sarmad was rebleaching it after...of course, not acknowledging his mistake. I would strongly advise you to go to another stylist because I think all Sarmad cares about is instagram fame.
