About 6 years after suffering a stroke that left me with very limited, if any, use of my left side, I was/am a current patient at Plaistow Oral Surgery to have a tooth extracted. I was not able , at the time to have a tooth replaced. I returned to have a consultation about putting in bone replacement and a three teeth back in three seperate areas in my mouth. I found Dr. Stiefle to be a very knowledgeable and professional Oral Surgeon. He went , out-of-his-way to explain every single step of the procedure to me & my husband to make sure I understood that my previous extractions healed very well allowing him to be able to perform the bone replacement in the 2 spaces , along with the replacement tooth and that the third space that has already had bone replacement will be able to place another tooth as well. I wasn't sure that I'd be a bike to afford it with all the pending/ overdue Stroke medical expenses, along with my recent diagnosis of Breast Cancer, while still not healed from my stroke, and underwent a full Double Mastectomy. Dr Stiefle and his energetic staff were able to put together a cost projection using my Dental Insurance and out-of-pocket $ that will work for me. They were able to make some adjustments on their end to save me some money and make this affordable- do-able for me based on my circumstances. Ultimately, I whole-heartedly rate Dr Stiefle and Plaistow Oral Surgery true 5- STARS! For once, in my life, I can honestly say that my Dr Stifle and Plaistow Oral Surgery consultation and treatment have been a true pleasure and I am very grateful for them and their integrity and professionalism. She…read morecharged me $958 instead of $570 for my crown procedure, which I caught the mistake immediately. Instead of issuing a refund of the difference, she charged me again $570 and told me that she will issue the refund once the $958 charge actually came through because she can't issue a refund immediately. After numerous calls since April, she still has not issue the refund with a bunch of excuses and lies. At one point, she left me a voicemail on Monday stating "I forgot to give you a call back regarding I don't know what you wanna talk to me about you should've gotten that money back. They just sent me an email and that they refunded you back that money." But I never see the funds back in my account and by Thursday that same week, she said "oh, they can't issue the refund until your son claim is cleared. So why telling me that refund has been issued if it was never issued. And today, after weekly call that I have to call and follow up because she kept saying she will call but never did, she said "I don't want to deal with you anymore, the corporate office is dealing with it because you were unprofessional ". She took no accountability of her mistake, very good at lying and now handing over to someone else while still holding my $958.-. Just be careful when processing your payment with Arijeta because she clearly has no clue what she is doing. Its too bad because the doctors and hygienists are nice.

Off course it is more expensive as well but bedside manner is important to me. Last time I was there, a dark haired rather terse woman working at reception asked me for drivers license. I showed it to her but she wanted me to hand it over for copying. She had not asked my permission but rather rudely informed me that they need to copy my DL. Why? She had no answer but another person came forward & told her that it's enough to see the ID. She continued to argue but I held my ground. My insurance company informed me later that they do NOT require this. In fact they are more concerned about the dental office charging for services not provided. So I should get itemized copy & watch out for what's being charged to me. I know four other people who are "customers" of Dr Morris. None were treated in this manner. I felt very insulted by the discrimination & rudeness by this woman. No one at that practice had been rude to me before so it was indeed a shock.
