On one particular visit I was there for my yearly blood test prescription pick up which is fully covered under insurance. On this visit I received a copay for a "postpartum" question because my records showed I gave birth the month prior. I had already been charged by Stonybrook OBGYN in regards to the same "postpartum" questionnaire and now how to continue to dispute with billing that I will not be paying for a service twice when I did not ask to sit there and have a conversation with a student doctor for him to slip a question in about how my new baby was doing and be charged for it. I will be leaving Stonybrook medicine after this occurance. There is no reason to pay for something twice especially when they can see my Stonybrook OBGYN records through my portal. It's an unnecessary frustration to dispute this charge every month until they get on board that I won't pay for this twice. It is on them to have neglected to review my recent doctors visits. I had only asked for the blood test prescription, nothing else. It is not up to them to do whatever screenings they feel the need to include without consulting their patient first. I was examined and then with the door open, "John" proceeded to announce my medication list and ask after each one, "What are you on THAT for?" Pretty embarrassing. He casually asked about my work and I wound up telling him about an upcoming job transfer, to which his response was basically that I was making the wrong decision. I asked for an EKG but this office states my insurance won't pay unless I have chest pain...?! I have always had an EKG as part of a physical especially with a strong family cardiac history. The girl taking my BP let the air out of the cuff before the diastolic beat could be determined and made up a number ( I am also a nurse and this is a pet peeve). He insisted on ordering a drug level for a drug I take for mood stabilization (a level is necessary only if taken for seizures) and then the front desk girl insisted he was right...I did not want to talk about this in front of the other patients who were waiting. The office is outdated, ugly wallpaper, no sink in the exam room, stained carpeting that was not vacuumed. Nothing modern, 50's station blaring into the exam room was off-putting. Not a good experience, will not be returning.

The third treatment was extremely painful and resulted in burns under both of my arms. This occured on December 4, 2012 and as of 1/23/2013, they still have not healed. It looks as though I will have scarring under both arms. The doctor in charge at this place said it doesn't look infected...sorry for the inconvenience. I will not be going back to complete the treatments I already paid for. I would suggest looking around for other places. There are definitely better ones out there.

All Northwell health cares about is money They threat Doctors as income producers You can no longer call the office. all calls to the office are answered by Northwell health. They make appoints for the DR -1 every half hour Most DRS take more than 30 minutes as they are trying to help the patients It results in longer wait times. I recently had an appointment with a new to me Northwell health DR My appointment was for 1pm At 2pm there was 1 other patient waiting we asked who he was waiting for. The same dr. His appointment was for 12:30. 1/2 hour before mine We saw the DR at 2;30 1 1/2 hour wait. The DRs are pressured by Northwell to keep making appointments with Patients. That is where the money is. DR Finks office called my wife answered and they told her DR fink wants me to come in .I said I am not going I do not need a DR and there is no reason to go. Without me knowing she made an appointment. This is how the office visit went I was recently in the hospital under the care of another DR DR fink got the report they fixed the problem and sent me home. He asked how I was feeling I said ok .That was the extent of the conversation He then sat down and typed his report. I just sat there When finished with his report he said I could go home. when I first got there a physicians assistant came in to go over my medicines 1 at a time I take about 15 They insist on doing this even if nothing changed The DR never had an assistant before I figure Northwell thought this up to free up time for the DR to,see more patients He took 20 minutes then the nurse came in to go over the medications When I got to the car and sat down and said they did so much to help me today I will go,to the Dr when I need him not when he needs me.

We made an appointment in June 2023 for October 2023. The day before the appointment I called to make sure he was scheduled. They could not find his appointment in the system. The scheduler said he would contact the doctor's PA and try to get him in. We did not get a call back. I called again and was told the same thing again. Still no call. I called a third time and was told that the message would go to the doctor's secretary this time. Still no call back! My husband has been terrified since June that he has colon cancer and this practice hasn't even called us back to fit my husband in when they lost his appointment. I will be calling a different doctor.
