Our cruise ship was making a stop in Ensenada and we've been here several times. I don't know if…read moreyou have made the same visit before, but the downtown area of Ensenada can get quite chaotic and crazy. One of the popular things to do is to go to one of the bars, take a shot and one of the big beefy guys will pick you up turn you upside down and shake you. It's a very odd place.
Now the other thing to do here is to try some of the street food, they have amazing ceviche and tacos so if you haven't done that before that obviously needs to be on your list too.
There are a couple museums here too- #1 is part of the convention center and is literally across the street from the cruise port exit so that would be an easy one to do on your own- they apparently have the bar where the first margarita was made. There's also a ride you can take out of town to see one of the natural blow holes in the stones near the ocean.
But if you've done all these things and you're looking for something a little more serene, might I recommend Ensenada massage? They will pick you up just outside of the cruise port exit- they were there exactly when they said they would be and it is about a 15 minute drive across town to their location. Now this is not a five star spa, but it was clean, it was organized and the therapists were very professional. We had a 90 minute couples massage and the cost was $110 each, and that included cruise port pick up and drop off, as well as deep tissue and hot stones
