I recently needed to buy a new Mobility Scooter and found a company in West Sussex called Kardinal Independent Living, which was selling the TGA Breeze X off-road model I wanted for just over £5195. I contacted them by telephone on May 22nd and spoke to Mr Connor Harcorn. He told me he had a new one ready to go, and he would upgrade the batteries to the 100mA as standard for free! So, I paid him £5361, which inc insurance and a weather-proof cover. He said it would be on the next Thursday delivery, so it would be delivered next week. Nothing arrived, so I contacted Kardinal to ask when I could expect my scooter delivery, but was told that no deliveries were due to me. I was told Mr Harcorn would contact me later that day. He eventually called the following day and offered me £100 if I waited a few more days. No scooter arrived, nor did the £100.
On the 13th of June, Mr Harcorn phoned to apologise and said my Scooter hadn't even been ordered from the supplier because of staff problems. A salesman had messed up multiple orders and had been fired. I told him I would like to cancel my order and requested a refund.
He then offered me the scooter for half price! But that sounded my warning bells, I mean, who can suddenly offer over £2500 discount? I refused and said I would just like my refund. I also sent my refund request by email and on their website contact form. That was the 13th of June, and I still have no refund
They no longer return my calls.
Today, I contacted my Bank, and they transferred me over to their fraud department. They have opened a case and are investigating. read more
