From what I have been told by my wife, this mall used to house Macy's and an Emporium. Emporium closed a long time ago, and Macy's pulled out of here before I moved to the area, so the mall seems to struggle to maintain it's customer base. There still are several good smaller stores inside that serve the customer well. It definately is not the large Mall experience you may be looking for, but if you need some basic items, then this will do you fine by stopping. read more

I shop at karcher mall $ tree store 8 times a month for the pass 2 years I have been rudely spoken to when I ask her Tammy floor manager I believe if todays bread order arrive yet? This mall is kind of depressing, it's dark, outdated, lacking businesses for thier vacant spaces, and several of the spaces that have businesses in them were closed when I was there. Additionally one of their largest stores (Burlington Coat Factory) is moving. Making maters worse the public restrooms looked like they hadn't been cleaned in several days. While there are some stores worth shopping at here. I wonder if thier current location in this mall could be hurting thier business, as this mall was almost devoid of customers. The few people I did see seemed to be there to exercise by walking laps in the mall. read more

The Ross isn't my favorite one (see the Ross reviews) but it's more reasonably-priced for the name brand stuff my one teen wants and it's open late. I rarely go to or in the mall otherwise except when my older disabled friend wants a ride to the Jo-Ann Fabric store. The Northern Lights cinema closed at least a year ago so there's not even that draw, but I can barely afford to buy a few new things for my kids occasionally (so they don't feel neglected), and one way I afford it is by very rarely going to movies or eating out, and usually to Reel on $1 Tuesday. The Dollar Tree isn't actually in the mall and it's a good thing because I'm rarely there when the other stores are open. The Big 5 entrance is outside and I go there only occasionally if the children need a pair of basketball shoes, etc., but I like the store and it's not packed with people when I've gone. read more

I would like to commend Roberto at the Sprint Desk in the Karcher Mall. We've been Sprint customers for a couple of years. We were getting ready to take a trip, and I had over 700 photos saved on my phone. We're a retired couple, and didn't know how to transfer the photos from the phone to our laptop. Roberto had us bring our phone and laptop to his desk. He had to match google on the phone with MSN on the computer. Changing to computer to google the phone still wouldn't send the photos. He went through the settings on the phone and enabled it to send the photos. Roberto was awesome throughout. He refused to take any compensation from my husband; although he was helping us over a half hour. Roberto is an excellent representative of his company. Thanks so much. The Karcher Mall is outdated but there were several Ma and Pop stores that I visited. Now that those are gone because of the "new and improved" designs, how many people will now stop shopping there altogether because of the nightmare traffic this will create because of the new 216 apartment complexes that will be on this property with NO infrastructure improvements planned? The traffic now most of the time is a nightmare, how many people will stop shopping at Home Depot next door because of the traffic problems this will create. The apartment complexes will add an additional 500 or more vehicles per day to this area. When will the Planning and Zoning Department finally stop making exception to the rules about these ridiculous three and four story apartment buildings popping up everywhere? Get a clue people!!! read more

Back in the day, this was the place to be in Nampa! My grandma and great-aunt would love to take us with them as they shopped and dined at Pickwicks. If I remember correctly it was either grandma or my great aunt that went there for a liquid lunch haha. I didn't think us grandkids were that horrible that they had to numb up but then again I may have been a stinker! Fast-forward and it seems like this mall is barely holding on after Boise opened their premier mall back in the early 90's. My most recent trip made me wonder why someone didn't refurb the place. I didn't see too many stores that were worth going in that is unless I need a hearing aid, well, not yet! Sad. read more

It's just so run down here. The Burlington coat factory is the worst I've ever seen. I've been to quite a few of these stores and loved them, but the Nampa one seems to have items that look even cheaper than Walmart,not much selection, and everything is a mess. The home goods section is a joke. It gives me more of a run down flea market feel than a store. I really hate it here. I've tried it twice and won't be back. read more

Northern Lights is the highlight of this pleasant shopping destination. Parking is no problem at all.

I felt like I was in a time warp. There were more vacant retail spaces than filled retail spaces. I stopped at Burlington and I was the only shopper there. There were about 4 employees and they all watched me the entire time. It was extremely uncomfortable, it was made worse when I heard them talking about someone grabbing armfulls of clothing and running out the store a few days ago. The entire back half of the store is empty with display shelves kinda stacked to be stored. I wasn't sure if it's going out of business or what. I felt unsafe in the parking lot and felt like I needed to bathe in sanitizer when I walked out. The whole mall had a weird smell to it. From what I've read, it's mold. So that's fun. I won't be returning. There is plenty more shopping around. read more

Ghost town, lots of vacant shops. Strangely the corridors of the mall are filled, filled FULL of tables and tables of Mom and Pop "boutiques" (read: card tables with crafts on top) selling kitschy handmade wares. Think frizzy yarn crochet purses, bald angel ornaments made of clay, beaded jewelry, glass squares decoupaged with pictures of little girls in granny dresses. Almost like a scene from a science fiction novel, but not. I found myself walking faster and faster, fearing someone was going to grab me or try to talk to me. Eew, I was freaking out suddenly. And then when I got stuck behind two women who were walking slowly I started to panic, mildly. Thinking, "what if I never get out of here? where am I?" The walls started shrinking in around me and the craft tables were coming closer, and closer and CLOSER! Ok, I'm kidding, but I did high tail it out of there after the Sarah Jessica Parker clothing line at Steve and Barry's turned out to be junk. read more

I was very dissappointed with this mall. It looks large and exciting from the outside but is really lame on the inside. Half of the stores are closed and the ones that are there left a lot to be desired. The only thing that the mall has going for itself is a Burlington Coat Factory and a Ross (which is only accessible from the outside). I guess I got spoiled by all the wonderful shopping in Los Angeles. read more

This mall is pretty simple. If I don't want to drive all the way to boise as I live in Middleton I will go here. But the stores I am actually interested in are pretty limited... they have a bath and body works, a Joann's, a Claire's, Burlington, and a Ross on the outside. So if I need specific things I will go here but it's definitely not a place you will be spending the majority of the day at. read more

Wikipedia says this was Idaho's first all-enclosed mall in 1965. A few facelifts later, they still have a billboard that got me to drive in. It's around the corner from the Golden Corral buffet which is to DIE for. The recession has not been kind as the last big anchor Macy's left recently, but there's a cute Star Wars collectible shop in there next to another place with random cool-stuff-4-young-guys shop, Avon training center, and I shot picture of a wonderful balloon lady. Macy's outlet is there for great price reductions on stuff that was actually at Macy's, and odd crafts tables where I picked up a nice $10 glass jewelry set, $79 4 piece "jeep" luggage at Burlington Coat factory. It's a downscale mall but not bad if you're into hunting for cheap stuff instead of the Boise Town Center. read more
