I took my son in to ask about age ranges they accept and was greeted by a very kind and friendly man. He talked to my 3 year old for a few minutes and was very welcoming. He explained how it all works which follows: $32 gets you one private session which is an assessment and two group classes. Your child also gets a Gi (uniform) included in this price which makes it a pretty good deal. The assessment went really well and we have our two group classes still to decide, but it's a pretty obvious decision. If you and your child decide to take the plunge, there is a 1 year contract you must sign and I believe it's $100/month, but not quite sure though. The owner/instructor is incredibly good with children and had my son warmed up to him and laughing hard and following instruction really well during the assessment. This alone was enough to sell me on the place, but their structure of working on concentration, fitness, discipline, then finally once everything else is out of the way, you being technique.

Amazing Family Oriented Program!…read more As a military family it can be difficult to find programs and a place to call home for your kids but we found it here. Going here for over a year my kids both love this place and have grown so much. My oldest has done Taekwondo for years but this is an actual program dedicated to growing and developing kids of character: Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self-Control, and Indomitable Spirit. Unlike many programs this is an official and internationally recognized program taught by caring individuals that prioritize growth and standards over false senses of achievement. You have to earn your advancement (belts) every day. It's so amazing to have coaches that teach your children with love but accountability to a standard. The leaders also have a tournament team and truly love what they do because they travel at personal expense to coach our kids. The team also performs qualifying for AAU Nationals and many of them earning 1st Place at their tournaments. In 2023 AAU Nationals, the team won the most medals of any school in South Carolina and has already started planning for next year. So if you are looking to learn locally or compete nationally, this place does it all. Value: You can't beat it with this program meeting 3 days a week for 45 minutes and very reasonably priced after school care/camps when school is out. My kids have taken advantage of both evening classes and the camp program. Other activities in town that meet once a week cost more than the cost for both my kids taking evening class here. You do have to pay for the tests but it covers the new belt, boards they break, and registration with Kukkiwon in South Korea. If you stick it out, learn, and live a life of character, you can earn your black belt from the birthplace of Taekwondo. I noticed this is not the same programs as ATA did way back then, but now they are geared for assisting with mental and physical wellbeing. It is like a breath of fresh air to see a Sport/Martial Art that puts a special focus on life skills, such as; self-esteem, respect, honesty, communication, discipline. It is also a great self awareness and esteem for those adults, who need the reassurance through their effort on what they can accomplish!!
