I hurt my back several months a ago training for my Second Degree at home, I have been taking Karate for 5 years now and have enjoyed my lessons and training. Several months ago, I had advised Master Leitski that per instructions from my doctor, I can not proceed with my journey to my second degree. Confidence Martial Arts is a great Taekwondo training center. I have been to a couple of schools now over the years and came back after several injuries and several years later to train again. I choose this school because of the ATA affiliation and because of great word of mouth about the instructors who teach there. I noticed this is not the same programs as ATA did way back then, but now they are geared for assisting with mental and physical wellbeing. I enjoy the warrior side of training combat sparring and learning krav maga! It is like a breath of fresh air to see a Sport/Martial Art that puts a special focus on life skills, such as; self-esteem, respect, honesty, communication, discipline. This helps teachers, as well as parents, help raise children to be healthy functioning adults... It is also a great self awareness and esteem for those adults, who need the reassurance through their effort on what they can accomplish!! They have an awesome program for children, Tiny Tigers program, my son, who has ADHD, was in this program it did him wonders for listening and ability to focus... It helped with his self confidence as he was different in school and was in different classes than mainstream and kids picked on him a lot.. he had a place to go where he felt he was good enough. I suppose I should post so you all can come and see for yourself and not spoil the fun... Ok, 1 more thing, the taekwondo kids here are awesome kids, because all the kids in their classes, like my son was, are treated just like everyone else.. the kids are having fun, exercising and learning to be great people. read more

My kids joined Confidence Martial Arts last year. Since then they have so much more confidence, self esteem, integrity and most of all they listen to direction!!! The staff is amazing! This dojo is all about family. My wife and I love it! They support the community so much, truly amazing! read more

My grandson has attended this school for over a year and I am very satisfied with them. They have literally changed his life, teaching him to be a much more confident and outgoing young boy. I must say everything from his school work and chores to personality and public demeanor has changed remarkably. He is enrolled in two of their speciality courses, Leadership and Instructor Training. All together less cost than a couple tanks of gas and truely the best money I could spend on his development at the age of 8. The American Teakwondo Association (ATA) has an astonishing system of goals and rewards where every child can succeed. This company has the worst business ethics. Sending me to collections over my son not wanting to attend their classes anymore. He's 7! Let's be real, kids change their mind and their interests change all the time. He wants to play soccer now not take karate.... I got a bill from AAC (the collection agency they use) for $2k. Which I will rip up and throw in the trash. I absolutely REFUSE to pay that. It will be disputed. Stay clear of these people. They are not interested in helping teach your child. They just want your money. read more

My daughter, Megan is a Black Belt at Tae Kwon Do who is studying for her 2nd Degree test. The road for Megan is a bit difficult since her parents have been divorced since she was two, but she is now 16 and seems to be doing fine. Tae Kwon Do is one of the things I got her started in that has not only helped her overcome familial challenges, but also the challenges that come with her developmental stage. Her Father resides out of state, so Megan flies across the country to visit NC for the summers and holidays. When I moved from the D.C. area, I was on the lookout for a new Tae Kwon Do training facility, as Gentle East in the D.C. area was no longer a possibility. I researched every web page and began making phone calls. I liked that Confidence Martial Arts was inclusive towards women. I also liked the way the program talked of overcoming difficulties and it seemed to also be inclusive to people of all ages. I remembered when Megan was younger and I joined Tae Kwon Do with her because her friends all said they would join and stood her up...just to get her involved, and it worked. She loved it and continued on all the way to her Black Belt. I believed I would have issues finding a place that accepted her ATA credentials from where she goes in Wisconsin, and also that I would have trouble with her only being there for the summer, that each place would expect her to be year round, but I really wanted her to be able to test when she got back to her Dad's home in Wisconsin and also not to stop something that she loves so much. I reached a gentleman named Jamey on the phone from Confidence Martial Arts, who was very optimistic and understood dedication to Tae Kwon Do. He actually turned out to be Megan's instructor most of the time she was here. I was amazed at how professional Jamey was and also at his expertise at not only Tae Kwon Do, but his enthusiastic and positive teaching techniques. I then met Master Crucitti who was responsible for making all of the decisions. He was very easy to communicate with and allowed me to communicate through email. It turned out he knew Master Plesssel from Wisconsin from tournaments and he arranged everything with a phone call. ALL of Megan's credentials transferred along with her financial account. Master Crucitti obviously has some training in business. He is not only a professional at Tae Kwon Do, but also clearly a person who owns his education and takes his business along with the personal success of his customers to heart. When Megan injured her foot (not at Tae Kwon Do), he was able to tailor her lessons to where she had no contact with her foot, but could still practice her forms and work with her weapons for her test. Confidence Martial Arts also has a unique and diverse group of people who practice there, and Megan immediately began to make friends with some of her fellow Black Belts. I thought this was a tremendous attribute for the program because everyone was so FRIENDLY and POSITIVE. I observed the smaller kids and was amazed to see the tiny little kids acting so serious and respectful. I could also see that EVERYONE was accepted at this program and that the instruction is powerful, yet tailored to each individual's level. This is an amazing program for kids, teens, young adults, and middle-aged to beyond. I am glad to have found the perfect program for Megan when she is at my house here in Wilmington, and am grateful for the friendly support of everyone at Confidence Martial Arts. I was immediately impressed with this business and continue to be impressed with each and every interaction. Very happy and impressed!!! ATA!!! read more

**WARNING** Our 7 year old son was interested in taking Tae Kwon Do. We were new to the area and a mutual school parent recommended Confidence Martial Arts. My wife and I signed him up, however after a few months of classes, our son lost all interest and did not want to go anymore. I was deployed in Afghanistan when our son made this decision, so my wife talked with Max, the lead instructor and manager of the school. He informed her that he could not just quit the class and that we would have to continue to pay even tho our son was not attending classes and had zero interest. When I returned from Afghanistan, I tried to resolve the situation with Max, who again told me that I had to continue payments no matter if our son was attending classes or not. Confidence Martial Arts sent our file into collections....OVER A 7 YEAR OLD WHO HAD NO INTEREST IN CLASSES ANYMORE, and now they are trying to collect over $2,000!!!!!
